Fun Husband and wife quick getaway
Gabriel, Ulises y Estefanía were great! They were on our Butler Team and took care of us from the moment we checked in! The food was not only beautiful but it was so flavorful! Hideaway is definitely our preferred place to stay when in Cancun! The coffee shop was okay and the gift shop had good sales on clothing.

Could’ve been better
This hotel was pretty decent but definitely not a 5 star hotel, hopefully it will be once renovations are done. I do have a few things to go say regarding the restaurants. The Italian was the best for all is us including my parents, the Caribbean one doesn’t have a great choice for seafood so I wouldn’t go back to this one, the other one we really liked was the Indian. The Japanese one was horrible, our cook wasn’t very motivated so we didn’t really have a good time that night and on top of that the food was just not good quality. Agave was pretty good, their desserts are amazing. Overall, it was decent food but they can definitely do better, we went back to the Italian one like 5 times because it had a great menu. We stayed at building 3 which was recently renovated and it’s great. The room service was sometimes even better than some restaurants. Our butlers really went above and beyond, made the impossible for anything and we would like to really thank them to make our stay every better( their names are Gabriel and Abril) I’d like to really thank at the Italian hotel Sr Francisco, Sr Roberto, Sr Rodrigo who tremendously made our nights very special. There’s this guy at the Indian one who I don’t remember his name maybe Rodrigo but he’s the best one ever. Despite renovations already in process we had a good time and hopefully they will improve their restaurants service and food quality.

Great service and consideration for a Celiac
Gabriella the hostess was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The service was exceptional from Daniel. One of us has Celiac disease, and Daniel and Francisco went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and reassuring throughout. Chef Filber personally made sure every dish was completely gluten-free, giving us total peace of mind.

A Truly Exceptional Stay for a Once-in-a-Lifetime 30th Birthday at the Hideaway Royalton Riviera Cancun
This trip was planned as a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for my 30th birthday, and from the moment we arrived at the Hideaway Royalton Riviera Cancun, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Gabriel, the Cluster General Manager, and his team, along with Joycelyn, our butler, greeted us personally with welcome drinks on arrival, perfectly timed despite our flight being delayed. Our bags were taken care of immediately, and we were given a full tour of the resort. Joycelyn then surprised me as part of my birthday with an upgrade to a rooftop ocean pool view suite with a hot tub. The suite had been beautifully decorated with birthday balloons and a bottle of Moët. The terrace featured a hot tub and sun loungers, overlooking the pool and sea. It was luxurious, peaceful, and set the tone for what became a truly unforgettable stay. When we thought it could not get any better, we arrived at the Presidential Luxury Oversized Hot Tub Suite for a one-night celebration we had arranged to mark my 30th. The suite was decorated with even more balloons, including champagne and 30th birthday designs, and the terrace included a hot tub so large it felt like a private pool. The suite was beautiful and spacious, and both rooms included premium whisky, gin, vodka, prosecco, red wine, and a fully stocked mini bar. It was the perfect setting and what a way to celebrate a 30th birthday. Joycelyn then introduced us to our other butlers, Gina and Victor, and set up a WhatsApp chat to ensure communication was always easy and ran smoothly. All three of them went above and beyond to take care of us, and every reservation was handled with care. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we felt so lucky to have such amazing butlers. Joycelyn was truly outstanding and one of the main reasons our experience felt so personal and stress-free. From the moment we arrived, she worked tirelessly to ensure every part of our stay was perfect. She arranged for a bilingual allergy letter ahead of time, coordinated with chefs daily, and ensured that every venue was informed of my requirements. She surprised us with mimosas as she knew they were our favourite. She even helped me replace my broken items like my hair straighteners and waterproof phone case on her days off, and lastly she gifted us all with a thoughtful leaving present that I will always remember. Her support was not just professional but deeply kind and genuinely caring. She made a large resort feel personal and went above and beyond in a way I will never forget. Gina and Victor were equally wonderful and thoughtful. They walked us to dinner each evening, checked in with genuine care throughout the day with coffee, drinks, and thoughtful touches, and made sure our hot tub was always clean and ready. Their kind presence and reliable help made us feel completely relaxed and looked after. We got to know them not only as butlers but as people, and their warmth and sincerity stayed with us long after we left. By the main pool, we were given a private cabana for the week, which gave us the perfect shaded spot to unwind. Eddie, our Cabana Server, was fantastic. Whether it was water, beers, mimosas, or simply checking in, he always ensured we were well looked after and comfortable. Dining across the resort was consistently excellent. Every dish was delicious, and my dietary needs were taken seriously throughout the stay. I have never been on holiday before where I have not had a reaction, and the care and consideration from the staff allowed me to feel completely safe. For the first time, I was able to wear fitted dresses every evening without bloating or discomfort, which brought such a sense of ease and enjoyment to each night. This level of attention was overseen with great care by Sous Chef Fernando, Dorado’s Head Chef Josue, Chef Assistant Karime, and Food and Beverage Assistant Joseph Ibarra, who all worked together to ensure every meal was both safe and exceptional. Mr Donovan, the Manager of Dorado, personally welcomed us each night and made every effort to ensure our meals were perfect. Even when the restaurant was busy, he took the time to remember our preferences, bring over dishes and drinks himself, and always made us feel prioritised. On days when we returned from long excursions, he went out of his way to coordinate high-quality room service so we could relax in our suite without missing out on a proper meal. On one evening in particular, when we returned close to 8:30pm, both Gina and Donovan arranged beautifully presented restaurant-standard dishes to be served to us directly. It was thoughtful touches like this that made the experience so comfortable and seamless. Carlos, our server at Dorado, brought energy and fun to every evening. He created a custom prosecco cocktail (Carlos 43) for me and surprised me with a Stranger Things-themed shot after discovering how much I loved the show. His attention to detail and charm added a personal spark to every meal. Joseph Ibarra helped ensure smooth service across every restaurant. He was calm, courteous, and made sure my allergy notes were passed along and respected each day. His quiet consistency helped everything run effortlessly. One of the highlights of the trip was our private seafood dinner. We were greeted again by Donovan and Joseph, Sous Chef Fernando, Head Chef Josue, and Chef Assistant Karime. The menu was created specifically for me and was not only completely safe but absolutely delicious. The presentation and taste were exceptional. Once again, Carlos helped elevate the evening with his thoughtful and engaging service. We also had a private teppanyaki experience at Zen, where a separate room had been arranged to ensure no cross-contamination. The food was lively, fresh, and full of flavour. The private Chef’s Table tasting menu was another standout experience. Each course was carefully crafted and beautifully presented, and the chefs continued to go above and beyond by personally overseeing my food throughout the entire trip. One of our personal favourites was the ‘Octopus Taco’. That being said, all the dishes were amazing. The effort they made to accommodate my extensive allergies showed real professionalism and care. The Royalton Spa was a wonderful highlight. The massage treatments were some of the best we have ever had. The spa room was decorated with balloons and a birthday banner, and we were given prosecco and chocolate-covered strawberries afterwards. The ambience, with warm lighting and a peaceful atmosphere, made it feel completely serene. The hydrotherapy circuit, jacuzzi, steam room, cold plunge pool, and sauna were all spotless and very well kept. We also enjoyed the lazy river, beachfront bar, the swings, and the many pools and swim-up bars. The evening disco was lively and full of atmosphere, and we spent time paddleboarding, kayaking, and relaxing on the beach. The waterpark added extra fun to our days, and the resort offered a brilliant range of entertainment throughout both day and night. Even the raccoons wandering the grounds brought a bit of unexpected entertainment to the experience. Whenever we left the resort for excursions, a packed lunch was always prepared in advance for me with clear allergy-safe items. This extra step gave me peace of mind while off-site and was yet another example of how carefully the team looked after us. Our suite was kept spotless each day, and every single request was met with care and kindness. On our final day, Gabriel and the team ensured we had a late check-out arranged and assisted us with our luggage so we could enjoy our last few hours completely stress-free. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience. The level of service, attention to detail, and genuine warmth from every team member made all the difference. You can tell the staff here care deeply about what they do and take real pride in each guest’s experience. We will most certainly be back. We were genuinely made to feel like family, and the team exceeded every expectation. We cannot thank you enough for the kindness you showed us throughout our stay.

Room for Improvement at a Promising Resort
Food – 7/10 The food was good overall. Reservations are required for restaurants, though you can use the app to make them; they don't allow you to make reservations for large parties (6+). We had a group of 12, so it was challenging to have dinner together. The main dishes were flavorful and satisfying, but the side dishes consistently fell short, often bland or just looked like a garnish. Some restaurants stood out more than others; we enjoyed the Italian restaurant the most. The buffet was as expected, with a lot of options, even a small children's buffet area and gluten-free options. Appearance – 6/10 The resort has a lot of potential, but maintenance is clearly behind. During our stay, parts of the property were under construction, and we were informed by our butler that the resort would be closing soon for major renovations. The hard surfaces around the kids' pool and main pool area were in need of repair, with several uneven areas where you had to walk with caution. The layout and design of the resort are beautiful, but upkeep is definitely needed to match the price point. Service – 9/10 Most of the staff we encountered were professional, polite, and eager to help. That said, the resort seemed understaffed at times, which led to long waits for basic services like drinks or dining. On the positive side, our butlers — Rodrigo, Alberto, and Rubisel — were fantastic. They made sure all of our needs were met and truly elevated our experience. Entertainment – 5/10 This was one of the weaker areas. There wasn’t much happening during the day in terms of organized activities or entertainment options for guests. The evening shows were enjoyable but didn’t stand out compared to other all-inclusive resorts we've visited. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, this may fall short. Room – Diamond Club Family Suite We stayed in a family suite within the Diamond Club, and the room was one of the highlights. It was clean, spacious, and well-maintained — perfect for our family’s needs. Having the extra space and Diamond Club perks was definitely worth it.
