A fine place to stay when skiing.
We stayed here in March of 2025. After we booked it, I got a little concerned by the negative reviews I read, but I'm happy to say that the negative reviews were off the mark. We were quite satisfied with every aspect of our stay here and had no problems or complaints whatsoever. Checking in was as easy as anywhere and the staff was friendly. Our room was up to the standard of any other hotel--bathroom was clean and stocked, plenty of towels, room was clean, nothing was broken, beds were fine, and had a nice view out of the windows. It left me wondering if the people who left negative reviews had even stayed at the same place. I rented skis from the on-site shop, and again, everything was easy and up to standard. It was very convenient and no complaints. We didn't use the shuttle because we drove up there and it isn't very hard to drive across the street. So I can't comment on the shuttle service. Was it a 5-star luxury hotel comparable to something on the Las Vegas strip? No. But that's not what we were expecting. It was a hotel next to ski resort, with the primary purpose being a place to sleep and store stuff when not skiing. It had nice clean rooms and everything we needed for that purpose. Clearly, it does show signs of age and wear, but so what? From what I saw and experience, I can only conclude that the people who have left negative reviews either had uniquely bad experiences that don't represent the norm, or (more likely) they're just whiner's who want to leave negative reviews if everything isn't exactly perfect and at 5-star level. I certainly found this place to be a decent place to stay and I would stay there again.

Beware!
Buyer beware...this hotel should not be open to guests. The building is unsanitary and unsafe—it needs to come down. My room was at the end of a hallway where there were no room numbers, paint and wallpaper pealing off the walls and my room was deplorable. It smelled like something died in a defunct ice maker, and the bed had the posters sawed off. The curtains were not attached, and there was no temperature control. The onsite restaurant was overpriced and the food was not appetizing. The pool is unusable, with the temperatures being warmer than a hot tub and no towels. There was no toilet paper in our room, or blankets on our bed. I wouldn't stay here again if you had paid me the rate I paid. Honestly, I would not let my worst enemies spend a night here.

Great, affordable place to stay in Winter Park
After reading some of the other reviews, I was hesitant to stay here, but I am glad I ended up staying here. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, and great location in Winter Park then I would recommend staying here. The location is across the street from the lifts. You can’t walk over there because a highway separates the resort and hotel, but they do have shuttles that run every 20 minutes and is a 10 minute ride over. The room has a decent size fridge/freezer combo and a microwave. My bathroom was fully stocked with towels, and there were blankets in the closet if you get cold. Also, you can easily change the temperature in your room to your liking. The staff at the front desk were super nice so I am not sure why others have stated that they were rude. The only thing I would agree on with other reviewers, is that it’s a little outdated, but honestly it didn’t bother me. I have stayed at some really nice hotels (i.e. Broadmoor) and some not so nice hotels, so I feel I have some good comparisons. I would recommend staying here. Try to not get sucked into the bad reviews.

Dogs Barked Non Stop
Zero stars for noise control and management response. Dogs barked constantly, day and night, throughout the hotel. The most frustrating part was the management's complete lack of concern. They ignored repeated complaints. Do not expect a peaceful stay at this hotel.
