An ok stay!
My stay at this resort had its ups and downs. The check-in process was a bit challenging. Although I used the app to check in beforehand, I still had to repeat several steps at the front desk due to slow computer processing, and I noticed many guests had issues with their reservations, which could have been managed more efficiently. I had specifically booked a first-floor room with a king bed and jetted tub, considering my husband’s difficulty with stairs. Unfortunately, we were initially assigned a queen bed in a room located up several flights of stairs and it was quite warm. Fortunately, the staff addressed the room issue and eventually moved us to a much better room. However, the manager's demeanor during this process could have been more welcoming. On a positive note, the amenities were enjoyable, and the room we ultimately stayed in was spacious, although it did show signs of age. I appreciate that renovations are underway, which may address these concerns. One aspect I found surprising was the extra charge for additional towels and room refreshes, which could be reconsidered. Overall, while there were challenges, I believe with a few adjustments, the experience could be significantly improved.

Would like to see this resort return to its earlier hospitality standards
Having stayed in Williamsburg as a timeshare exchanger for 30+ years and this resort multiple times, I feel that it's gotten very transactional. There used to be a very dignified "Williamsburg" feel that's a bit hard to put into words, but very much a part of the experience vacationing there. That has been replaced with what seems like cost-cutting and paring down of the experience. Nothing is particularly wrong, but nothing stellar, either. The feel here is now like a midrange motel and not a high-quality resort. Plus, they are charging fees on top of maintenance and exchange fees for timeshare owners, that seem like a monty grab.

Great visit to Vacation Village at Williamsburg
We really enjoyed this place. The room was really nice--2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Very clean and newer furniture and appliances. Very usable kitchen. Easy walk to the pool and main area. I was there on 4th of July week and could still find chairs. Glad they had towels at the pool. Nice pickleball and tennis courts--we used these on several days. Decent food very close by. Easy access to Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. We'll be back.
