    Nice place

    Short weekend retreat with the family. Friendly staff at the front desk and throughout. Appreciated their attention to COVID-19 precautions. Nice outdoor dining at the restaurant with good food and service.

    Rooms in need of some maintenance

    The hotel grounds, lobby, pool and gym were all well kept. The room however was a little disappointing. We did have a beautiful Marina view from our 9th floor room. The carpet had some kind of hard substance stains and the room felt very plain. No decor on the walls. The king bed had dips in both sides of the mattress so not the most comfortable sleep. There was a fridge in the entrance hall but no microwave. The toilet plumbing needs service and there was only 1 tiny waste basket for the whole room. Our room was right across from the elevator which is a huge no for me, but because there is an internal door you can shut at night the room was super quiet and we did not hear any hall noise. I will suppose COVID has not helped their business for such a large property. The room and bath were clean but still a bit tired looking.

    Nothing has changed for the better!!

    I have stayed here twice before and recently visited a friend who stayed here as i went SOMEWHERE ELSE this time. I see their poor management continues to say they are disappointed in some reviews and will improve but STILL DOES NOTHING to improve the inside of these units. My friend complained to the front desk,about lack of plates/dishes for the 4 of them (2 kids) , room was dirty and not in best of shape , many marks on walls, chairs scraped up badly table many marks. PITIFUL for the cost the want per stay and they have the nerve to charge a resort fee! My friend says nevr again and i will nevr come back, simply better places to stay close by in Fort Myers. HOPE all read this and be prepared for a terrible room, ya pools are nice but that's all there is to do here as well as you must drive to get anywhere at least 15-20 minutes.

    Room is disrepair

    One the deadbolt did not work and the water pressure in the shower is almost non existent.  They sent someone to fix the issues and the deadbolt was fixed.  They attempted to fix the shower and left all the towels on the floor when they were done!!!  The next morning I used the shower and water pressure was still no better, in fact the water does not even come out of all the nozzles.  The carpet in the bedroom needs to be replaced it is filthy.  I will never stay at your property again.

    This place is disgusting!!!!

    This place is filthy and the staff lacks any customer care experience. I was very disappointed. Upon arriving, I was taken to a filthy room - the dirtiest I've ever seen at a Marriott of any type - let alone a resort. Someone from housekeeping came and reviewed the room and agreed it was unacceptable and had us moved to a lower floor comparable room. The only issue was that as a Gold Elite member (over 210 room stays plus 35+ last year) - I was told that my room upgrade incentive was being on the 16th floor - which I no longer had; because it was filthy! I asked about getting a marina view - but that was told that this was not possible??? On Sunday, August 30, I requested a 2 pm late check-out and was told that this could not be accommodated because the resort was running at high occupancy. I passed through the lobby at least 4 times on Sunday and no one was checking in! The parking garage was over 80% empty and very few guests were seen. I've stayed at this resort several times and been given late checkouts when there were far more guests! Also, I was not told that I needed to request a room clean-up (replace of linens and towels) the day before it was to occur for scheduling purposes. So, I checked in on Thursday and requested a room clean for the next day, which was Friday, and was told that this was impossible because I should have requested this before I came to the resort on Thursday! Are you kidding me, really ridiculous? To make this experience even more painful, I was charged at $30 a day resort fee + taxes for access to facilities that were no longer available due to Covid-19 (the Rose Garden recreation center)! The response to my complaints was - "stay with us again and we can do better??? We're currently renovating and you should expect inconveniences". Please, give me a break. Terrible hotel and many other negatives. Hopefully, someone from Marriott who cares is reading this. DO NOT STAY HERE
