Jun 25, 2025A great family holiday!
We stayed at universals Surfside suites for two weeks at the end of May to the beginning of June and had a wonderful stay. We first came to Florida two years ago and stayed at the Aventura but we booked later this year and wanted to do the trip on more of a budget. Firstly the location is fantastic if you want to be in walking distance of the restaurants up international drive, there’s also a Walgreens over the road which is really handy. We found the gentleman on the front desk to be very friendly and knowledgeable on check in. We arrived at around 2pm and was expecting to leave our bags with luggage services however our room was ready and we could check straight in! The room was bright and light although we did find some half eaten chocolate cake in the fridge and some drinks left over from the previous guests but everywhere else was super clean. Towels were changed everyday and beds made daily. The food in the food court was fantastic really well priced for the meals and tasty and definitely something for everyone. We took an uber to Walmart to buy water however you can use the freestyle machines in the hotel for water. The pool was great for cooling off after long morning in the park and we often came back to chill before heading back out - it was never crowded and lots life guards. There were a couple of niggles we had, mainly the noise on a night. We had a couple of noisy neighbours and the walls are quite thin so we did complain on one evening, the noise soon stopped after. The only other downside is it is not in walking distance to city walk, meaning you have to rely on the bus. We waited over an hour at city walk one day for a bus despite texting the hotel. We complained at the universal desk who said there wasn’t anything they could do however the reception lady was very sympathetic and offered us some meal vouchers. All in all we had a fantastic time and I would definitely come back to Surfside in the future if we were coming in a budget

Jun 24, 2025wouldn't stay anywhere else on International Drive
The was our second visit to surfside. previous visit in 2023 was in a suite which is perfect for a family of 4. this time it was just myself and husband so we opted for the standard room facing international drive, which is great to see the universal parks from. Both times I have requested top floor rooms in tower 2. The hotel is worth more than 3 stars in my opinion. Staff are great, food court food is great, free shuttle bus to universal parks takes just 5 minutes and are regular. we have already booked to come back in 2026

Nice Vibe
The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly, and the shuttle had us in the City Walk in 4 minutes. Would definitely stay here again. The food here was surprisingly good. Was a great experience. Close to all of the theme parks, and other attractions.

Amazing Hotel
Amazing location , Rooms big and Airy we had a 1 bedroom apartment, Buses every 10 minutes to all Universal parks, Staff super friendly , Rooms cleaned and towels changed every day. A handy restaurant onsite good food , Starbucks great too I hop across road for great breakfast and 24 hour supermarket opposite

Fantastic stay
Check in was quick and easy and staff member Thomas went over and above to ensure we were provided with all the information we could require. We checked in early, stored our luggage and headed to the parks for early entry. We received a text earlier than expected to advise our room was ready. Clean room, comfortable beds and great amenities. The pool was lovely, clean, quiet, remained a suitable depth, floatation vests available and we all enjoyed hearing the music whilst swimming under water. Shuttles to parks were frequent. Starbucks in foyer. Easy access to international drive. Absolutely fantastic hotel and would stay again in a heart beat.
