    Great stay

We were really pleased with the size of the rooms compared with the Disney Allstars rooms. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and location was convenient for parks. The room was cleaned every day. I also used the gym which was clean, well-equipped, had good aircon & a water machine. Would definitely stay here again. The icing on the cake was that the hotel not only facilitated bus transport & early access to the parks (check universal app for which rides are open early) but also enabled us to purchase tickets to the new epic park a month before it officially opens- we were so chuffed!

Clean, basic, convenient hotel, but some rude staff

Overall I'd rate this hotel a 3.5. Positives - The rooms were mostly very clean with clean bedding, and the room was serviced each day with beds made and towels replaced. The hotel is very conveniently located for the Universal parks and the shuttle bus is great - it runs regularly from just outside the hotel and is quick and air-conditioned. The pizza we tried from the restaurant was really nice. Being able to use the room keys in the park for our lockers was also great. Didn't use the pool but the pool area looked nice. Negatives - Sound proofing in the room isn't great. You can hear everyone that walks along the corridor and also noises like coughs and hairdryers being used through the walls. We were told when we checked in that we'd receive a WhatsApp message when we arrived in our room with dining details etc that we could reply to directly if we needed anything, but we never received this. The Starbucks in the hotel is convenient but very expensive. Extortionate parking charges each day ($26 a day) whereas the Disney parks don't charge any parking charges for hotel guests. The main negative experience though was at checkout. The woman on the desk (I think her name was Karla) was really unfriendly to the point of rudeness. No questions around whether we enjoyed our stay or even a simple smile, no thank you for staying, and when we asked a question around parking we were bluntly told that parking costs don't cover checkout day, so if you're planning to visit one of the parks that day know that you need to factor this in. One of the main reasons we chose to stay in a Universal hotel was for the early park entry, however this is actually only for Islands of Adventure and only for Hagrid's Motorbike Ride or Velocicoaster, so knowing this now we probably wouldn't have made the same choice. Overall this hotel was clean and convenient for a short stay.

    Great experience

Nice clean rooms, brilliant beds, plenty towels and room serviced every day. Plenty toiletries replenished. Pool towels available no charge! Always a sun bed. Pool lifeguards brilliant 🤩 always watching! Coffee machine in room great! Extra blankets and pillows are in cupboard should you need! Storage under beds for suitcases. Down falls…. Check in time was 45 mins with 2 staff only. Food and drinks totally over priced. Parking charges over priced. Pool cold.

    Clean and Convenient

Worth the money vs the what you get. It’s a 3* hotel, clean and basic amenities available. The coffee in the room is not drinkable but there’s Starbucks in the lobby so that’s a win. The rooms are clean, the staff are helpful and the pool area is nice. Free shuttle to City Walk is an absolute bonus, it’s in walking distance to international drive also. The hot breakfast in the canteen/restaurant is not worth it but they have smoothies and yoghurt and Starbucks have a nice breakfast bun. Extra credit to having a guest laundry! Loved it! All in all, a good experience!

    Not worth the savings

Not worth trying to save a few $$. The beds are rocks and only have sheets on them, no top blanket, so we had to turn up the room temp to 75 so we wouldn’t freeze all night. We had a 2 bedroom suite and we were told we had to run the sinks for at least 5 minutes if we wanted a hot shower. The room also had a noticeably stinky smell when we arrived, almost like dirty feet or bad food. Bring your own waters, the bottles in the cafe are over $7 each! The TVs don’t have streaming service options and one of ours kept blacking out every 1-2mins so we gave up trying to watch anything. On the plus side, the pool, starbucks and shuttle services are convenient.
