    Good Centrally Located Hotel

This hotel is centrally located. We arrived to check in at 9am. I saw people eating breakfast, but I didn't see the hotel lobby or check in desk. I asked an employee, (his name is Isaac or Isaiah) where is the lobby and he said he is the front desk clerk and we would check in right here. I was really surprised. Of course it was too early to check in but he gave me his business card and told me to check back at 11am. We did some sightseeing and returned at 11:30. Isaac called the Housekeeping Manager to find out if there were any clean rooms and there was! We were able to check in. Our room faced the Kohl's parking lot, but further out you could see a beautiful farm. Our hotel room and bathroom was a very good size. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are in tubes that you squeeze in order to get out the liquid. I had a little difficulty squeezing out the liquids, but my husband showed me that I should squeeze in the middle of the tube. The room had a mini-fridge but no coffee maker since there is coffee, decaf and hot water 24/7 in the lobby with flavored creamers or milk packets. The breakfast was very nice - pancakes, oatmeal with different toppings, omelets, sausages, bagels, yogurt with various toppings and cold cereal. It is buffet style, so you can eat as much as you like. I just wish that breakfast would last a little longer. It ended at 9am. I hate eating so early in the morning. The only negative to this hotel is that there are no closets and no drawers to put your clothes. There is a tube with hangars that you can hang a few clothes on. Except for my toiletries, I lived out of my suitcase. So this hotel would be fine for short stays. We stayed two nights, so we were happy with Tru by Hilton Lancaster.

    An Okay Stay

We took my grandchild here because it was close to Dutch Wonderland, the last stop on our trip. It is a very mediocre hotel and I would not recommend it for couples or business people, but perhaps just for families with kids. On the plus side, it was clean, and the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. They only have an indoor pool, and it didn't look very appealing so we skipped it. The room was average and fine for one night, but our room fronted the highway so we heard trucks going by all night. If you go, ask for a room facing the parking lot! We could not get the TV remote to work once the TV was turned on. We talked to the front desk and tried unplugging it, rebooting it, changing batteries, etc. Nothing worked. They then suggested that sometimes you had to point the remote towards the window (away from the TV) and click it. That worked. Who would have thought? The room had a mini frig but no microwave or coffee pot. Personally, I like to be able to make coffee/tea in the room, so that was disappointing, although to be fair, I could have looked that up before I went. They have the bottles of body wash, shampoo, etc. attached to the walls, and one of ours was empty. Maybe housekeeping should check those things when they clean the room. The free breakfast was just adequate; not much for me, although I was able to eat a pre-made scrambled egg with cheese and an english muffin. The only other bread option was bread - no pastries or muffins. The breakfast area is very small and was extremely crowded. Almost everything kept running out, because the containers were small, so you had to wait for them to be refilled. The staff member handling that was terrific though, and she very quickly went from station to station refilling things once asked. There was also a gentleman on staff who also did a great job keeping the tables clean. Would I stay here again? No. But if you are looking for a decent place to stay with kids and don't need a lot of amenities (or even a closet in your room, because there wasn't one, this hotel would be fine. And right across the street is an IHop Restaurant and Texas Roadhouse, both of which we ate at, as well as other chain restaurants.

    Great For Dogs!

For traveling with a dog, this place is top notch and the accommodated everything and the staff is so friendly and nice. Management does little things for the employees which is nice to see and their breakfast workers are much more easier to work with than other hotels. Only reason it's getting a 4 is because the price is comparable to other amazing areas in the location. If you're not staying with a dog or kids for Dutch Wonderland, you can find a really unique experience for the same price.

Basic, more spartan than I expected.

I only stayed 1 night. Nice parking area, nicely located next to a Longhorn Steakhouse, nice layout. Online check-in was a bust because their digital key system wasn’t working; had to stop at the desk. The room was more than adequate in size. There is no carpeting so be aware. Some of the linoleum was starting to peel up in places. They service the room every other day, which is more often than some other places these days.

Close to Sight & Sound and Outlets

The hotel lobby is really cool. Plenty of places to sit and small cubes which the kids liked. The front desk was very friendly and helpul, dont recall her name, but the young lafy from Florida was very helpful. Breakfast is included and was well stocked. The next time, we'll bring our cat
