We had a lovely stay, the suites were the best we have ever had. Bathrooms were exceptional and even had real fuzzy bath mats. Amenities were really nice. Tub was huge as well as the shower. Double sinks and separate toilet top off the elegance of the suite. The king sized bed was so cozy and comfortable with pillow top mattress and fluffy duvet made our sleep wonderful. We took advantage of the pools with heated water and plentiful lounge chairs which were covered with a nice towel. The casino netted us enough to pay for a couple of meals. There was always free bar service available at the slot machines. The restaurants that we went to were outstanding. Bouchon had delicious pastries and macaroons; Grand Lux, open 24 hrs. was delicious and reasonably priced for dinner and breakfast (3 eggs, toast and hash browns for $9.95); Noodle Asia was our favorite, the shrimp was huge and not too spicy and the noodles were delicious. Two complaints: rooms were dimly lit, and I paid $23.00 for a skinny margarita at the pool. Otherwise every thing was memorable for our four day mid week stay.
Save your money
Just stayed at The Venetian and normally I have had great stays. Unfortunately, they are not prepared to welcome travelers back. Couple of things you should be aware of: 1) Elevators are not equipped to handle capacity as the hotel is oversold. Expect to wait on long lines to get to the elevator and then to get into the elevator during peak times. 2) Housekeeping services are not adequate to handle current hotel capacity. Room was not cleaned on at least one day. 3) Don’t upgrade! Upgraded rooms are not worth it. My upgraded room was in need of an update and not better than a standard room. 4) Don’t expect to enjoy the pool. Pool capacity is limited with people lining up before 8am to get a spot at the pool. There is a waitlist to get into the pool once closed. Next time, I am going to stay at the Wynn.
Good but not great
It's ovwrall a nice place to stay but I had a bad experience during my last stay. I hope it is just once and it won't happen again. Housekeeping wasn't done until I called to request it when it was already late in the afternoon and nobody showed up. Dealers did not pay some winning bets until asked for.
No one knows how to match your room stay/charges to what appears on your credit card. I objected and was accused of black mail by the supervisor. Keep your hands in your pockets and review your statement before leaving the property or you too will be charged for making your reservation and the actual number of days.
The details in the art and architecture are amazing. The beds were super comfortable. It felt like you we're sleeping on clouds. Exquisite food. Elektra was an Amazing nightclub. Totally recommended this!
