Great place to stay!!
Great place to stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Pool was average although we really didn’t spend that much time there. I ordered a small mojito at the pool which was $18.50 which I feel was overpriced even for a resort. The grand lux café inside has wonderful food with portions large enough to share.
Tons of fees
Was told to upgrade to get early check in to only be charged $51 extra a day for what I’m not sure and then to not have much of an early check in for both parties. Fees crazy. Hated there was no coffee maker. Charged $12 for a bottle of water. No room in fridge to bring back food because it was packed with crap they want to charge you for. Maybe give guests a second fridge to use when they stay at your hotel. All negatives-Cost of room, no coffee maker, no complimentary water, upgrade fee (not sure what we got for the fee), resort fees, no room for anything in the fridge. Feels very greedy like you’re being nickel and dimed the whole trip. I should put lower stars the more I think about it. Staff told me one checkout time and my sister (the other party) another. Staff not on same page.
I want to compliment the staff they did wonderful at check in and out and answering questions. Couple of hick ups that made the stay a little sour . First my card was charged multiple times for the same amount and different amounts. Now the explanation for this was that because the agent at check in didn’t calculate it right. Now in my hotel experience which is well over 20 years at this point, I know that the night audit made a mistake and ran it again for the correct amount and not the difference. I always had to give a card at check in for incidentals. In most hotels once you give a card you have the ability. To charge items from the outlets to your room which is the reason why they hold the funds. Well in this case I was completely embarrassed while on my honey moon at the pool with my new bride ordering drinks the server said my card was declining in front of everyone. Now to my surprise I had to get out the pool dripping wet and drip to the room, to get another card to pay for the drinks. Everybody was just staring at my wife and it was so uncomfortable. So I stopped at the front desk for an explanation on what had happen and the explanation I was given that I can’t charge to the room from the outlets because my card was ran just to see if I had the funds available to charge to the room but I’m actually not allowed to. So that don’t even add up 🤷🏽♂️ House keeping was great though!
Great hotel! Service was great and we enjoyed our stay there! Lots of fun things to do inside the hotel and around. Very close to other attractions. Definitely worth every penny and 100% sure I will be staying with them again!!
YES, it is a beautiful hotel ~ BUT...I am making a LONG story short ~ 1. Called ahead of our arrival date to ask for a "refrigerator" for medical needs. Nobody helped, received the "run around" from the Concierge and then the Front Desk. Got to the hotel on arrival date and was not encouraged at all to get the little medical cooler, instead was told to "just use" the refrigerator "that you get charged for each time you open it". Someone in my group was so outraged for me, she went to the Manager and got the "cooler" sent up for me. Kind of disappointing to have to fight for a cooler for medical needs... 2. We paid extra for a King Suite and paid for a "view of the strip". ~ NOPE...instead received a view of Harrah's pool and the parking lot of Denny's and parking lot of another hotel. THAT isn't the Strip.... So...don't pay extra for any room upgrade, it doesn't work. 3. NO HOT WATER in shower or bath. LOVED the bathroom facilities, however, the hot water never came on...only warm. Knob was turned ALL the way on hot. In the bath the WARM water came on after the tub was filled up 1/3 of the way ~ aren't we in a drought? A lukewarm bath isn't my style of an upgrade....And what a waste of water! 4. Charged 14.00 for drinking 2 water bottles that were sitting on the dresser. There was nothing posted that there would be a "fee" for them, which is typical in other hotels we have stayed in. When my husband asked that the fee be removed (at our check out) he was told "I am not allowed to do that, sir". (???) 5. Toilet handle broken. After spending so much money for the "upgrade" for the room at the Venetian, stay somewhere else... The Venetian is a beautiful Hotel, but after two days of spending so much money on the rooms, the food some gambling...its just not worth it. AND ~ no one from the Hotel has contacted us to apologize...guess I just didn't spend ENOUGH for that. Very disappointed in this hotel. Will update if anything changes...
