    Great Hotel & Amazing Amenities

I love this hotel. The amenities they have are great. They have water filling stations on the first and 3rd floor, free reef-friendly sunblock, free beach rentals at Beach Candy, which is just outside the hotel off the street. Beach Candy has chairs, umbrellas, sand toys for kids, life jackets, surfboards, and etc. take advantage of these why you’re here especially because Waikiki Beach is right across the street. The hotel offers free daily activities and the only one I was able to take advantage of was Monday’s Stargazing. They have a company come out with a telescope and you get to see the moon, star clusters, the Big Dipper and etc. Restaurants at the hotel: Tiki’s Bar & Grill - the food was great and atmosphere was good. They offer poolside service until 5 pm. Wolfgang Puck Express - only open until 2 pm, the sign says they open til 9-10 pm (I forgot the exact time) Wednesday to Saturday but that wasn’t the case for us. They were only open late Wednesday and Thursday, any other days they closed at 2 pm. Anyways I had breakfast here and the Kalua Pork Omelette was amazing!! Their spaghetti is good as well. The other restaurants they have I didn’t try, but they have an ABC store & Starbucks there as well off the street. Other than that there are countless of restaurant’s in walking distance. Downside: Rooms - I wish the beds were queen beds instead of doubles. My AC would not go pass 53 degrees Fahrenheit. I addressed it with the hotel staff and maintenance came by to fix it twice but still doesn’t go pass 53 degrees. The resolution was to turn the vents to they are going straight across at the wall. Elevators - all the floor controls are outside. In theory it’s a great idea especially since you need to use your key card to go to the 4th floor and above. It will tell you what elevator will take you up, they’re labeled A B C D E F. Anyways, the downside was if ALL the elevators are busy, it says “Please Try Again.” You can try again until an elevator comes down, then closes to go back up.

    Perfect in Honolulu

I had an excellent stay at the Twin Finn! The location was perfect with a lot of dining and shopping options - without the (in my opinion) the gaudy mega malls a few blocks away at the heritage hotels - My room was comfy and the amenities were great for my solo trip - although I had read beforehand about the tricky elevators, I had no issue at all getting up and down without waiting. The beach candy shop was a welcome treat with free beach supplies and friendly service. The beach across the street was exceptional- not crowded like further down in the tourist hot spots. Tiki’s bar and restaurant was good and convenient for lunch or dinner. I especially was impressed with getting texts from Nicole at the hotel inquiring that all was going well - she was very responsive- something I’ve never experienced at a hotel before - Twin Finn wants to make sure you are satisfied. On another note - the staff holds a beach cleanup day that guests or others can sign up for and earn prizes for helping out. I was impressed by their desire to keep the beach clean and safe for all whether you away with them or not . I will choose this hotel anytime I am in Honolulu in the future. BTW- I was on the 15th floor in an oceanfront view room with lanai - Perfection !

    Great location.

The beds are comfortable, however, we were disappointed with our balcony, which was very small. We were also disappointed with the Resort Fees when we didn't use the amenities. A sliding scale would be much fairer for travelers who are older like us, and also who don't live in America.
