We did not receive any maid service the time we spent there. We was not overly impressed with Twin Fin

The good, the not-so-good, and nothing bad.

Stayed at the Twin Fin June 3-7 2024 with my wife for our 35th anniversary. We chose the hotel based mostly on the price, views and photos. First, the good... 1.) The Ocean Front Lanai offers a magnificent view up and down Waikiki Beach. I'm glad we spent the extra money for that view. Sitting on the lanai each evening with a cocktail, people-watching, became a fun bonus part of our trip. 2.) The location, literally across the street from the beach, is great. It's convenient to lots of shops and restaurants along the beach road (and of course an ABC store on every corner). The major activities we did (Paradise Cove luau, Star of Honolulu Dinner Cruise, Waikiki Trolley all pick-up and drop off there). 3.) The Tiki bar in the hotel makes a 1944 Mai Tai that is outstanding. It ought to be at $25 a throw, but it really is a tasty drink (and you get to keep the glass). 4.) Amazing water pressure in the shower and don't accidentally drop anything in the toilet 'cuz once you flush, you'll never see it again. 5.) The staff we encountered everywhere were courteous and helpful. Now, the not-so-good... 1.) The photos of the room and the reference to recent renovations are misleading. Our room looked like it was renovated by amateurs at best. Paint drips on the furniture and paint slopped only on the exterior. Open a door or drawer and you can plainly see what they've done. Stains on the ceiling. It was one of those things where from a distance everything looks okay, but any in-person, up-close inspection of the room showed it wasn't quite worth the $350 a night we paid. The room also had a musty smell that never went away. Every time we came back to the room it hit us but we got accustomed to it. 2.) The Tiki restaurant in the hotel was not so good. I ordered a prime rib, medium rare and got a tough, gristly piece of meat. My wife chose the pork quesadilla appetizer and it was good. 3.) Not every floor has an ice machine, which is inconvenient. 4.) The hotel offers a breakfast on the 21st floor deck for approximately $25/person. The breakfast was okay, but I would only recommend it if you have a room that isn't ocean front. Otherwise, it was the same view we had from our lanai, just a few floors higher. If you're ocean front, save the money. 5.) Oddly, there was no clock in the room. I think this is the first hotel I've ever stayed in that didn't have a clock somewhere in the room. Maybe it's a Hawaii thing? 6.) The refrigerator compressor kicked on, but absolutely did not keep anything cold. Cool at best. Do not trust it with left-overs from a restaurant. Notice, I list things that are good, and not-so-good. There's nothing bad here. It's amazing how many sub-par things you can overlook when you have the kind of view and beach access we had every day. Just know what you're getting into and, as always, caveat emptor.

    Perfect vacation

From day one until we left, we enjoyed the hotel and the surroundings. The pool was amazing and the walk to the beach was perfect. The 4 of us would like to give special thanks to Nicole and Mae at the front desk, Emma and Cody event planners, Noah and Nick pool side service, Lydia house keeping, and Keana service at the pool. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few but can’t thank you enough for making our time there something we will remember for a long time. Until our next visit, Mahalo ❤️ from Denise, Michelle, Carole and Jazmine

    Good stay

I thought the hotel was good. Rooms are a little dated but the pool area was very nice and convenient to have the Tiki Grill & Bar on the pool deck, as well as being right across the street from the beach. I thought the resort fees were rather high but it was nice to be able to go to the surf shop a couple doors down & get beach chairs & an umbrella every day. The staff were always pleasant to deal with. I thought the hotel was fairly quiet. Beds were very comfy. I would stay again although I prefer to be closer to the beach area down by the pink hotel. There's lots of shops & restaurants within walking distance. So all in all a good experience!

    Yoga 🧘‍♀️ on Waikiki Beach

The class was a great experience. The instructor introduced different accommodations for all levels. The scenery couldn’t be any better. The ocean on one side and beautiful large trees on the other. Mats and blocks were provided. All you need to do is show up!
