Best resort in mexico
First I want to say I hope that you guys are staying safe during these times. We missed coming down to see you all. There is no place I will rather be than at Hilton playa. The staff are great, attentive, very nice people and the place is well cared for. You guys are my family in Mexico. Please stay healthy and safe.
Give me my money back
Apparently when I worked with the Hilton Honors Concierge desk on property regarding my earlier then expected departure date, it didn’t matter. I stood in front of them for 45 minutes to work it out. The amount I was eventually refunded doesn’t even make sense and is not even close to what I am owed. Claim made, no follow-up within the 3 days I was told would happen. Called again and learned the property’s operations were suspended 8 days after my departure date. Told to wait again. 3rd call to follow-up and found out then case had been closed, and they didn’t bother to communicate directly with me. The hotel did respond to Hilton Honors and indicated they had not been informed of my early departure. The claim has been reopened. At this point, I don’t care that the hotel has suspended operations, this is a Hilton brand service issue and they need to own what I was told and refund the money owed. What a disappointment. There are a lot of businesses stepping up and doing the right thing during the COVID-19 pandemic, unfortunately this one isn’t.
If you're thinking of a destination wedding, this is the place for YOU!!! make sure you ask for a Anat as your wedding coordinator she made everything turned out better then I could of ever imagine. The gazebo was a free option to have your Ceremony but the infinity deck was AMAZING!!! spend the extra few bucks,so well worth it! Food was delicious. Anat also found the ultimate DJ and photographer around (arodriguez@the beat.com and Romanza for photo) the DJ was so entertaining that everyone was dancing the whole night the photographer was incredible can't even begin on telling ya how amazing our pictures turned out. Best wedding ever!! exactly what I pictured our wedding day to be. Thank you again Anta for all that you did for us!! one more thing You have to find this wonderful chef Mariana, she can provide you with exquisite meals along with the staff Carlos, Gaby,Jorge,Jesus and Kevin THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!! Love, The Italians
Great to see the 'familia' and be back home again
Arriving at our second home, we were warmly greeted by Hector, Gerardo and William. We were happy to see Willemina again. She always does her best to assign us to our favorite suite and checks to see if there's anything we need or anything she can do for us. It was great to see our butler David Huicochea again. David was his usual terrific self. Before we even arrived, he had arranged to have Carmen Dominguez, Victoria Gonzalez, Rodolfo Nahuut Albergaro and Carlos Herrera assigned to our suite. Anything we needed, David took care of it. Because of the impact of Covid 19 travel restrictions and border closings, the hotel was not at full capacity and we had to change suites later in the week. David took care of everything. It was just another example of how David goes above and beyond to take care of us. We were so happy Carmen, Victoria, Rodolfo and Carlos were assigned to our suite. They all know what we like without our having to say a word. They really make our suite feel like home. When Carmen Dominguez and Victoria Gonzalez couldn't be there, Feliciana Zavala (housekeeping) and Carmen (turn down service) continued the service that made our suite feel like home. Carlos Herrera as usual took excellent care of our minibar. He remembered what we liked and always made sure we had it. He also helped move us to another suite and continued to take care of us in that suite. The staff at Spice, starting with Capitan Jose Garcia (who we have had the pleasure of knowing for years), were terrific. Jose always had a table set up for us with Javier Pool and Jose always checked to see if we needed anything. Javier knows what we like and had it waiting for us. We didn't have to say a word. He always remembers. Lenin Escobedo worked with Javier and made sure we had whatever we needed. Arely (Luz), Pedro Cammara, Reynaldo, Liuvia, Abraham, Israel, Luciano and David Chan all would stop at our table to greet us and do whatever they could do for us. Luceio Cabrera made us some delicious sandwiches. We were happy to see Elizabeth (Lisbeth) again. She goes out of her way to make us feel at home and make sure we have something delicious to eat. At night at Spice, Chefs Jesus and Samuel Hernandez made us some great meals and we were happy to see that Raul Lozcano and Julia Barragan Petronilo were there. They are two more wonderful people at Spice who take such excellent care of us. We were glad to see Chef Rudi Ricardez Mendez at Peliciano's and as usual, he made us one of his delicious meals. It was good to see our old friend Antonio again. We were surprised and happy to see another old friend, Geronimo at Marie Maria's. Aromas has become one of our favorite places. Besides the wonderful staff of Edson, Janeth, Miguel, Rigoberto, Benita and Edith, the bakery, sandwiches and ice cream are excellent. It was hard to decide what to pick because there are so many delicious choices. The day we left, Cristobal Perez picked up our luggage right on time and had to carry it down the stairs as the elevators were not operating due to the hotel shutting down because of the travel restrictions and border closing. While it at times was challenging because of the changes caused by Covid 19, we still enjoyed ourselves due to all the wonderful people who work there. We would like to thank each and every one of them for all they did to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were happy to be back at our second home and see all the familia. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal when we come back in October.
We have been travel ing to playa, first at porto, now Panama jacks before the royal was built. We have been to this property at least 30 times in the past 12 years. We r in our 70's, and have enjoyed every visit. Staff treats everyone the same, age "old fogeys" or people under 2o. Hope they find a better place to go. They don't need them! Kp
