Fool me twice, shame on me...

I've been twice now and I feel I need to write a fair and honest review. I let the feelings settle for 2 months before writing this so I could write a review that is honest and not emotional. This entire hotel does not deserve to have guests. I think they have been the kings for too long on their island and have forgotten who keeps them in business. Their attitude towards guests and tourists' is that we are a pest and an inconvenience. The culture is miserable and is fed by mandatory 18% gratuities. We went in Dec of 2018 and forgot about how rude the staff was, and remembered the beautiful island and the amazing waterpark. When we went again in March of 2020 we were swiftly reminded of their distaste for guests. Guys, its a complete buzz kill! Its really sad when you're there to relax and enjoy the family when someone is constantly bringing someone down. I promise you WILL notice it, its not just a few here and there, it will be very apparent. Both times we've been, separated by over a year. The resort is absolutely amazing, but not worth putting up with the behavior of the staff. One day our kids were 48" tall and could ride all the rides, the next day a pissed off employee would say no. One time they wouldn't even measure because they could tell just by looking at her with their eyes. For the record she was 48.5" according to her Dr. Office, but I mean if you can measure 4 feet with your naked eye, with a +- 0.5" tolerance, you're selling yourself short as a life guard. The food is not enjoyable, but is very expensive. The service is non-existent. Forget about ever getting a refill in a sit down restaurant. Go to Mexico and enjoy better people and better food. I would honestly tell my family and friends to take their vacation somewhere with a culture that wants you to be there, and wants to make your vacation amazing. Go anywhere but here. I promise you will have a much more pleasant vacation.

2 night stay - 1st time in Bahamas

Upon arrival it felt like you were entering a theme park. Everything was very large and structural. We stayed in the Royal West tower. Checkin was fairly busy, the lobby had a lot to look at while waiting. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was decent. Clean, a little bit out of date, but spacious for two adults. One this that was noted....everything was VERY expensive. We did get coupons for free water throughout the hotel grounds only at specific food vendors though. The expanse is the grounds is huge. We got in at least 20k steps a day just within the grounds. The Dig was very cool, highly suggest that & free! The beach was gorgeous and looked well maintained. It was very windy and cool so no swimming for us. I got a cool coconut drink at the beach bar! It was delicious! We walked over the rope bridge and walked around to all the different animal pools. We at the buffet in the royal one day (spent $80 on 2 adults). It was pretty awful but if your in a pinch it could work, I’m not really a buffet kind of person though so take that with a grain. All in all I would suggest the trip at least once!

    Fantastic birthday surprise

This review is a long time coming, meant to write this when I got home but with all this virus stuff going on forgot all about it. This was a great 60th birthday getaway from my wife, when we arrived we were greeted at the front desk by the nicest guy of all, Nickdia, (Nicholas), he was such a pleasure to deal with, he realized it was my birthday so he made sure I was treated great, if you ever go to Atlantis make sure you ask for him, you won’t be disappointed, on the way up to the room our bellhop Lamar was also great, he explained everything & everywhere about the place, he gave us great tips, we had such an enjoyable stay, one tip I would like to say is to make reservations to the restaurants before you arrive or at least the first day there, there is a lot of walking but the place is kept beautifully, enjoy!!

Amazing service for a Platinum Titanium

This is a very overdue review. My husband and I visited the Atlantis Royal back in November 2019. We are Titanium Elite members. We arrived on property about 5pm and were asked to check-in inside a special room reserved for Marriott Bonvoy members and were greeted by Dwight. We had booked a standard ocean view room and when we arrived it was not ready. After discussion with Dwight, he said he would find us a room that was ready, and much to our surprise he sure did! We were upgraded to a very large ocean view, one-bedroom suite with many windows that give us multiple views of the ocean and resort. The rooms are definitely in need of a bit of a facelift, but it was clean and very nice. We had one problem while we were there, and that was that the hot water had quit working in many parts of the hotel. The hotel was on top of the issue and they did issue a a resort credit for the inconvenience. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and the service all throughout the resort was very good! Thanks Dwight for making our stay so special!!!

    Exceptional Hotel Architecture

My family and I were aboard the Disney Dream Cruise Ship on a 4-night Caribbean Cruise. Our first stop was Nassau, Bahamas. When I heard that we would stop at Nassau, the first thing that came to my mind was the Atlantis. You probably know or have heard about the Atlantis when you searched about hotels in Dubai. It’s one of the most luxurious and most well known hotels in Dubai. However, I recently discovered that there was an Atlantis Hotel in Nassau, so I really wanted to check it out! When we arrived in Nassau, we got out of the ship in the morning and headed to the hotel. We wanted to spend the day there and it was totally worth it! I have never seen a more beautiful hotel in my life. When I entered into the hall of the Royal Towers I was speechless. It’s just fantastic. The aquarium and the galleries with stores of luxurious brands like Gucci were incredibly beautiful and breathtaking. The facilities of the hotel are awesome and the beaches feel like a paradise, matching the name of the island the Atlantis is located at - Paradise Island. If you have a chance, make sure you visit the Atlantis Bahamas, which I even consider to be more beautiful than the Dubai one because of the environment and the crystal-clear water of the Bahamas!
