Great family time at the Ritz!

Our family of 4 had a great long weekend at the ritz. Wonderful staff, beautiful room and great amenities. Even the breakfast at the restaurant was great. Loved the shuttle to the beach and the service at both the beach and the pools. Staff were always trying to make our stay even better. Looking forward to coming back ASAP!

    Enjoyable stay

This was our second stay here (10 nights) and as titanium elite members were given a nice marina view upgrade. The staff everywhere was friendly and helpful. We declined housekeeping but were kept well stocked with supplies. Outside Dining at Jack Dusty and the pool was nice but the Beach Club could barely find heaters that worked. Sadly the weather was cold so we could not fully enjoy our stay. Once the new Residences open there might be more crowds at the facilities. Ps-we do not enjoy Marriott making political decisions. Nuts.

    Excellent stay

My family and I were staying in Sarasota area (at a different hotel) for about a week. On our final night we were celebrating a special occasion, so we wanted to do something special. I stopped by the Ritz to see if they could accommodate us for our last night. Judd at the front desk helped me make a reservation for two adjoining rooms. He was very patient, personable and informative about the area. We checked into the Ritz Carlton the next day with our two children (under 13) and to my surprise the marina view was available (worth it!). Everything in the property is top notch and spotless. We even drove a few minutes away and went to their private beach club, the facilities and staff there are very good! Our entire stay there was great, I don't think I would change one thing. My family and I were also very surprised when we heard a knock at the door and a staff member was there with a sweet desert cart along with handwritten note from Gina (who called me to let me know the room is ready and checked us in when we arrived) congratulating us on the special occasion.

Not my favorite Ritz but still nice

Not my favorite Ritz but still nice. Some rooms have a harbor view but much of the building is sandwiched behind other building so no expansive views. Great service, can cross the street and walk to trail along the water. Not much of a lobby, get access to the beach club on beach but a separate property thats not walkable or close but they offer a shuttle bus.

    Our favorite place

Just had another wonderful overnight stay in Sarasota. We just love this place. Very easy to get to St. Armand key and downtown Sarasota. Valet, check in, the rooms and the bar are perfect. We didn’t get down to the beach club this time, but will next. We were just in for the night. Had dinner in town at The Element, very nice, short 10 minute walk. And then finished night at Jack Dempseys with a smoked old fashioned. The waiter was very nice (he’s a Cub’s fan). He brought us some incredible warm bread to try, served in a can and some type of molasses. He took time to tell us the history behind the bread and restaurant. Always a wonderful stay and Will definitely be back.
