The manager was extremely rude and didn't care that our room wasn't cleaned 2 of 4 days-- Sanjeev Suri

The staff in the lounge were wonderful. AMAZING! However, housekeeping didn't come twice in 4 days. We paid for club access and everything (minimum $4000 for these days) for 4 nights and no cleaning. The housekeeping was doing turn down service and I asked why they hadn't cleaned and said, "they had to do turn down service". The room smelled, it was gross -- we had no towels -- 50% of the time. The manager Sanjeev Suri, really didn't care. He credited a dinner that only 2 of the 3 of us went to and was extremely rude. I have been a Ritz Carlton Gold member for 20 years and in the time we only visit Ritz Carlton's. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER come back to this location. Sanjeev made that happen. Sadly, he ruined our special trip with my daughter as she goes off to college. This was our last family trip and no one cared especially him -- at all.

    Kids not welcome!

Been coming here for over 17 Years love it. Kids have always played in the pool. Now kids can no longer play ball on the pool. Make sure if you bring your kids you send them onto the beach to throw a ball. Unreal! May think twice about coming back again! If you want no kids playing in a pool go to an adult inclusive resort. This place was family friendly! Not anymore

    Never again.

Never in my life have I dealt with a hotel like this. Wicked slow service, stale chips, low security. Other Ritz’s are much nicer, don’t spend your time coming to this one. When my family and I were spending time at the pool a group of young kids ventured into the pool area- they were DEFINITELY not guests at the hotel by the way they were yelling and fooling around. The security at the Ritz has gone way downhill. Dinner at Jack Dusty’s was the slowest service I’ve ever encountered in my life- we shouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes just to get our water filled in 90 degree weather and humidity. For a five star luxury hotel, their service is at best a 2 star. If you’re looking for just a name brand hotel, stay here. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, run for the hills.

    Ritz Carlton in name only

We thought we would try the ritz it is a legendary name in the hotel business. Upon arrival up the long driveway we were impressed with the entry area and that's where our expectations ended The front desk very disorganized. Long lines , ridiculous. The interior is very dated. The staff very young and inexperienced. Needs a lot of physical plant work Jack Dusty a typical run of the mill hotel restaurant Slow service uninspired menu It's more of Maybe on a good day a 3 star hotel There are other options nearby As we say when we encounter this experience Name on the door Worn out rug on the floor Sorry ritz get to work fix yourself

One of our Top Vacation Spots!

I am not sure how many vacations we’ve spent here but this hotel never disappoints! The rooms are lovely and the beach club makes this a vacation above the rest! Sarasota has so many wonderful dining options and this hotel is perfectly located for enjoying all of them! Best of all is the service. I’ve stayed at many Ritz Carltons but the staff here exceeds the rest! Special shoutout this trip to Chase on the beach and David working the valet at the beach club. Both exemplify everything the Ritz stands for and made our vacation extra special! We’ll be back, again and again!!
