I would not travel here as a solo traveler
I was a solo traveler over the Christmas holidays. From the moment I arrived I was questioned why I was there alone. And throughout my stay there almost every day the staff made comments about it. The room was lovely and the beach was very pretty. The sunsets were gorgeous. After being questioned every day for a week why I was by myself, I requested to speak with the manager of the hotel. She was very nice and I had a good conversation with her and gave her some feedback about how it made me feel. I would not recommend this hotel for solo travelers. Especially over the holidays. The holidays can be difficult for people for a variety of reasons and being questioned every day with comments like, why are you traveling alone? Oh you’re here by yourself, you’re so brave, and why are you by yourself? It made me feel terrible. The holidays are difficult time for me and the constant reminder that I was by myself made me want to leave early. The overall experience was disappointing and I would not return to the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman again.

Top notch in every way - even by Ritz Carlton standards
Stayed here for five nights in an Ocean front room; beautiful resort with very nicely designed rooms and public areas, very elegantly designed, new and nicely maintained. Multiple dining options on site, I tried all and all are very nice (there are many mosquitos for outdoor seatings so repellant is a must). St June has a nice beach view, Seven great for breakfast, the Italian restaurant has a great vibe, and the afternoon tea lounge is gorgeously designed. Services very very good, from the lobby, to the restaurants, to the housekeeping - very warm hosts and hostesses. They go out of their way to help.

Pinnacle of Relaxation
Spent a week here and my entire family loved every part of it. The website is extremely informative but I'll highlight a few of the great experiences we had. First off, I booked this stay through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts Collection. That led to a room upgrade, free breakfast and a couple of other great perks that elevated our stay even more. The room is spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The entire property is maintained very well. Tours: We did the mangroves kayak tour and it was great. I highly recommend. We did it with our two children (ages 9 and 6) and it was beautiful and informative. Two marine biologists took us out and made it fun and educational. So glad we did this. We also booked an excursion that went out to Sting Ray City, Snorkeling and Starfish point. It left right from the dock on property instead of us having to drive to a dock. I highly recommend booking this way. The cost difference is negligible and the group is much smaller. Staff: Excellent. Quite possibly the best. The absolute best of any hotel I've stayed at on any continent. They have this adorable game for children to play in which they have a threefold with different flags from around the world. Children are supposed to find employees from each of the different countries and talk to them about their home country (all employee name tags have flags on them). It was such a fun way to meet new people and learn so much. My children never left the room without their papers and must have stopped to chat every single person we encountered. Fantastic idea! Food: Excellent. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. Extremely high quality and a wide variety of choices. The selection would change slightly each day. There are menu items to order, but we found buffet to be the way to go. We did not have a chance to eat at every restaurant on property, but the ones we did were excellent. I'm not a fan of only staying on a single property, but, you could if you wanted to. Beach food options were also excellent. Little things: We of course came with our own sun protection products, but, it was nice to see that sun bloc and aloe could be found in multiple locations near pools and the beach. We are currently booking our next trip and will be staying at this Ritz-Carlton GC again. No other property can compare.

Really impressed by the SERVICE and enjoyed our stay at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman
When I travel, I usually stay at the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons and I have been to several of your properties all around the world. I am happy to say....the Ritz Carlton at Grand Cayman has the BEST SERVICE of all the hotels that I have ever stayed at. From the time we arrived to when we left, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel very special. When we checked in, I really like the fact that they gave us a personal tour of the property and showed us to our room. The other Ritz-Carltons do not do that. I also like the fact that the staff was very diverse and was from all around the world. They all seem to be extra hard working and genuinely kind. The ones that made our stay extra special was: Vijay at the Blue Restaurant and Phurba Sherpa at the Andiamo Restaurant. Both of these individuals were very personable and we had great conversations with them. I also really liked the female host (from Sri Lanka- forgot her name) at the Seven Restaurant breakfast buffet. She was so friendly and always had a smile on her face. They made us all feel like family right away. The only minor suggestion for improvement was the beach staff. They were not as enthusiastic with their jobs. With the encouragement from who I believe was the lead employee at the beach area, he had to tell the other staff employees to help us out instead of just conversing among themselves (it happened several times). However when they did help us out, they were still nice....just not as enthusiastic and attentive as the other staff on the property. I don't usually write reviews. However, I wanted to say that I was really impressed by the service at Grand Cayman. Good job, guys!!

Unparalleled hospitality
We just got back from our 2nd stay as a family at this location. The resort is kept immaculately clean, has multiple nice restaurants to enjoy and the beach set up is perfect. But the most incredible part is the people who work there. Every interaction leaves you feeling great! My kids favorite part of the trip was this activity where you have staff from different countries sign your pamphlet and this creates and opportunity to learn about their home country. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy participating in this activity and made the experience so fun for all of us! Something is really going right in their work culture, I would love to know what they’re doing to create such a happy atmosphere! Already dreaming about our next stay!
