Best hotel on Palm Beach!
My husband and I really loved it here and would absolutely stay here again! Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and with his titanium status, we were upgraded from an Oceanview room to one of the few 1200 SF Oceanfront suites (with 2 bathrooms!) The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and had a large balcony overlooking the ocean. For our anniversary, chocolate covered strawberries with flecks of gold were waiting for us in our room, this was both unexpected and wonderful! The staff were always friendly and helpful. The front doorman even had snacks waiting for returning joggers, such a nice touch! After researching all the hotels on this beach, it was the ONLY hotel that had adequate lounge chairs for the guests AND were comfortable with cushions. You can get up early to reserve the front rows if you wish however, at any time during the day you will find chairs available and they all have views of the water. Aruba is windy (thankfully, its soooo hot) therefore, you don’t always want to be right up on the beachfront anyway. An incredible extra were the complimentary sunscreen stations on the beach for guests! As well, there were ice water stations and the beach waiters came around each day with watermelon and fruit. Honestly, it’s going to be hard to stay anywhere else In Aruba for our next trip!! Aruba is amazing: 5 star restaurants, perfect weather and rich in history. The concierge arranged for us a car rental and I recommend doing this one day during your trip. That said, you can also walk to many shops and restaurants as the island is very safe. Must do’s while you have a car: The natural Baby Bridge, Snorkling at Boca Cataline or Malmok beach, Bushiribana Gold Mill Runs, The Lighthouse, Ayo and Casibari Rock Formations and Baby Beach. Then end your day with dinner at the incredible Flying Fishbone (20 mins drive)! Definitely skip downtown; Typical port for cruise ships with overpriced touristy stores and markets, these areas do not represent the heart of these beautiful islands! Finally, the Ritz has complimentary snorkling equipement and paddle boards (most hotels, extra $) which we used daily and really enjoyed. The restaurants were all great however, my hubby and I are foodies so we did venture out to the many incredible restaurants that the island offers. Overall, I highly recommend staying here for your vacation.
The Ritz is perfectly located on the quiet side of Palm Beach but within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The service is excellent and the guestrooms are very clean with comfortable beds! Casa Nonna offers a great breakfast buffet and Madero Pool Grill is a great spot for lunch. The Spa is amazing!!
We had a fabulous stay at the Aruba Ritz Carlton. It was a much needed respite after my son’s wedding. The staff was attentive, the facilities gorgeous, and the beach Bimini cabana’s were perfect. We ate at the BLT Steakhouse the first night and would completely recommend the restaurant, especially the popover rolls with Gouda cheese. The lobby bar was great - the Gin martini and Bourbon Old Fashion were both on point. This was the Ritz Carlton at its best.
Not your typical Ritz Hotel
This particular Ritz is in need of a face lift. I've stayed a multiple Ritz properties and this one was by far the least impressive. Rooms need upgrading. Gym is tired. Prices for any type of food is on the very high end of the scale. Beaches were filthy - excessive levels of sea weed. I've seen much nicer beaches. Nothing special about this Ritz. Night life was DEAD. If your a Marriott rewards member - expect no special treatment. I'm a the top of the Ambassador program, I was treated like a regular guest. And they offer no access to the Club level unless you pay $300/night! On the positive, the staff is very nice and housekeeping is excellent.
Amazing Hotel and Staff
I was hoping to get to rate this hotel on Marriott's site but did not get the survey. This hotel is amazing. I mostly got a room there so I could us the pool and beach so wasn't overly concerned about the "limited view" but the view was AWESOME! The staff from beginning to end were very helpful and anticipated everything. We had a pool bungalow with great service. Getting a chair at the beach wasn't hard at all. I would definitely like to come back and spend longer at this hotel.
