Enjoyed our stay, great location!
Enjoyed our stay with our 13 year old son during President's Day weekend- pleasantly surprised that the resort didn't feel crowded even though it was one of the busiest ski weekends of the year. I'll highlight the positives/negatives of the resort: What we loved! - Enjoyed the ski in/out access, one day we even skied back to our room for a quick lunch and saved money by not eating on the slopes (made our own sandwiches). Very quick and easy access to the room. Every morning we skied to the strawberry lift and were in line within minutes of opening every day- this lift in particular didn't seem as busy as others. A little bit of a hike with cross country skiing but we didn't mind. - Coffee/tea/cider/cocoa every morning just steps from our room- awesome!!! Our son loved the cookies in the lobby every afternoon too! - Cozy, modern room with amazing views of the mountain. The rooms/bathrooms are very clean and tidy with all of the usual amenities you would need (even humidifiers). Loved the extra touch with the robes and turn down service. - Boot warmer room is pretty cool but we only used it once as it tended to get crowded - On property restaurant/bar was nice, we really enjoyed the live music. Healthier options and/or vegetarian options would be nice. - DOWNLOAD the transportation app! I found out about this before our stay, and it's not advertised very well. It's essentially just like ride share but it's a pretty swanky bus that takes you to almost any destination nearby. We used this extensively and loved it, very easy to use and efficient. What could be improved: - Ski check (a bit confusing the first time used), equipment is left outside with no lock up or security - Our room was above the bar so it was lively one evening but we don't go to bed early so we didn't mind. Someone with small children wouldn't want this particular room on the 2nd floor. - The lobby is a bit outdated... not very cozy to relax for a long period of time but it's nice enough. - Hot tub is very hot! We only used it once because it's fairly small (children ended up overtaking the hot tub) and it's extremely hot. - Our particular room didn't have a kitchenette but we were able to have a microwave sent up to the room which was beneficial! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again if we choose to ski Beaver Creek again!
Ski-in, ski-out. Best view of the Beaver Creek and the valley. Excellent room with a view and a fireplace. Helpful staff and in house rental shop. Very easy to transport with shuttles around the village.
Nice hotel with comfortable beds and good sized rooms. They could do a better job in staffing and training, for a hotel in Beaver Creek I expected better. The best employee was the valet, great service and should be training other staff.
Great Beaver Creek Ski Vacation
This is the fourth place we have tried in BC - previously stayed at the St. James, Elkhorn, and Charter. The property and room is our favorite. Very friendly front desk and valet staff and great breakfasts. I also love the coffee bar on each floor. Nice touch:) Only minor complaint is the ski-in/ski-out access isn't great. It is ski-in, but hard for ski-out. The shuttle runs frequently and we were on the Centennial within ten minutes of grabbing our skis from storage.
Great hotel in nice location
Just stayed at the Pines Lodge with my husband and teenage son. Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and nice amenities. We ate breakfast at the restaurant a couple times which was very good. The hotel staff (reception, bellman & housekeeping) were all very nice and super helpful when we had questions. You can easily walk into the village or use the complimentary shuttle to go back & forth. It was an easy ski/walk to the Strawberry lift as well.
