Rude staff at this Caesar property
The day we left my husband was in really bad pain and I had to take him to the hospital so we needed to leave ASAP. I wanted to use the express check out next to the elevator but it was busy. There is another check-in/out machine right next to it which was not being used and no one in line so I began to check out and a worker comes up and tells me I have to get in line. I told her I was leaving and she said it didn't matter. I look around the corner towards the "line" and there's five other machines not being used. My husband tried to explain the situation and her reply was she'd call security!!! By the time she finished yapping her mouth the first machine I wanted to use was free so I moved over two steps and used that one. How idiotic of her. If it weren't for visitors like us they wouldn't have a paycheck they need to be reminded of that.
Stay was just OK
Prior to Covid, we would go to Vegas 2-3x a year. We have stayed at a lot of Vegas properties. When we arrived to check-in, we were rudely greeted. The security personal acted robotic, as if we should know the procedure. We were instructed to leave our luggage and “step aside” for a temperature check. My boyfriend was told he needed to stand on the other side of the rope, while I did the check-in. I understand Covid procedures, but staff could be nicer to guests. Our room was nice enough. I would rate it moderate for a Vegas room. There was no hand soap, so we went to a nearby CVS to get some. The Linq uses refillable shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I appreciate this being an eco conscious person, but they were not refilled all the way. The Linq does not do daily room cleaning. During our stay, the elevators became overloaded and stopped coming to our floor. We had to use the emergency stairs every time we needed to get back to the main floor. We are in good health and athletic, so it didn’t bother us (for others this would not be an ideal way to go up and down several flights of stairs). Pros: -Good casino floor layout and sports book. -Lots of food options at the Linq. -Centrally located on the strip. Cons: -Some staff was unfriendly (one out of several of the security guards at the elevators was very nice and helpful). -Unpredictable elevators and long lines at night to use elevators. -Some overcrowding in high traffic areas of the casino floor. -No soap or extra towels.
Don’t stay here
We had a bad experience with this casino. Check in and check out is a night mare. The line for the elevator to go to your room is super long and you waste most of your time waiting for an elevator then enjoying Vegas. No room service, no housekeeping for the entire stay. And if you want to go to the pool “good luck” we were there 3 days, came back home and we are still on the waitlist to go to the pool lol. Restaurants sure if you are willing to wait 2 to 3 hours and need to stay by the restaurant entrance because if they call you and you are not there you are not there you lose your spot. A lot of the the places are closed. Do not recommend it .
Not so great first trip to Vegas
I don't usually like to leave bad reviews, but I felt this review was needed. I booked the hotel because of the amenities offered such as mini fridge, pool, etc. I received an email 2 days before my flight saying my reservation was cancelled and we were re booked at Harrahs. We went to the Linq after no luck at Harrahs and were told they knew nothing about the email and that the reservation was still there. The front desk lady was rude and not helpful at all. The room was dirty, we had no towels, and no hand soap. We asked for towels and they were thrown on the desk when we returned to our room unfolded. Mini fridge did not work, and we had no access to the pool. We were told to text a number to get in a virtual line. The last day when we checked out we tried to text the number and we were notified it was at capacity. I went down and asked an attendant and they said they had openings. We shared our horrible experience with the "manager", and she was rude. The resort fee we paid for was waste since we couldn't use the pool or wifi. The manager said we could have rented a cabana or daybed to get in the pool which we wanted to but we let her know were told no one else could be at the pool. She only offered 1 resort fee day to be refunded, which we have yet to receive. Do not waste your time booking this hotel as its at the standards of a motel 8.
Worst Caesar Property
I am Caesar member and I stay at one of their property once to twice a month. This is actually my first time staying with Linq, and I am quite disappointed. The customer service was not on par as the other Caesar properties, I was about to check in but no one was at the desk and the security tried to push me to use automatic check in machines, until someone finally came to help me. She said that she has to log in, and they told my friend to stay away from the check in counter and only let me check in. Once I get to the room, with COVID happening I expected their rooms to be clean, however, there were stains all over my bed and the again weird brown smears on the lamp next to the desk. Overall, it felt dirty staying in this room. Will probably not stay here again.
