Mediocre hotel
I went with my husband to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is “ok”. They said it’s unlimited alcohol but it’s really limited to their brands. We stayed for 4 nights and only one night they had towels for us. The only reason we even got a towels was because the best waiter name Daniel made sure we got everything we need it. He actually works for the hotel that is on the beach. The only reason I would ever go back is because of Daniel and also for Carlos the baggage receiver. Extremely nice and friendly people. It’s a high end hotel but with very poor customer service except for those two men.

Great getaway.
Last minute decision to go for a quick Mexico trip. We had never gone in Sept before. Was a lot hotter than Jan but everything was greener. As for the resort , Pros Pool on adults only side was great. Super quiet at this time of year. Service around the pool and the restaurant at the pool was some of the best we have ever seen. Antonio and Carlos were amazing. Food and service for lunch at the Talavera restaurant ( pool ) was great ! All the ala carte restaurants that we used were great. Buffet was very good. Breakfast buffet was small but ok. Only had bacon one morning which is a little weird. The food and service is where this resort excels. Some of the best we have seen and we have been to many many resorts all over Mexico. All staff did a very good job and were super friendly and helpful. Wife used the spa one day and said it was great! Cons Resort is a little older which isn't a big deal but there was some obvious lack of maintenance in most areas. Kinda of sad to see. Our windows in our sliding doors were so discoloured from leaking thermo panes that you could barely see out of them at all. Lots of the rooms had the same problem. On a positive note this resort had the best water pressure of any one I've been to! Even in Canada. There seems to be some of the areas that are under utilized that would be the best on the resort if upgraded a bit. The coffee shop ( Starbucks ) in the hacienda would be an amazing area if they served drinks and had music also. Would be a great place to hangout. It was always empty. The roof top infinity pool is another spot that has huge potential. The bar up there isn't great. Furniture is poorly done too. This would the most popular spot at night if it was upgraded as the views are amazing. The hacienda lobby could use its own bar as the other side gets busy and has lots of kids. The signage around the resort is terrible ! Really hard to find your way around a small resort. Good thing the staff is helpful. The concierge service on what's app was great! Answered right away and very helpful. The other con is the pressure to do the Krystal club presentations. The sales people are a little pushy to get you to do it. Overall this resort is very good and worth staying at. It is NOT a 5 star by any stretch as they rate themselves. It is a 4 tho and that's because of the service and the food. Also the location is good.

Noisy Landscapers!
I would only like to comment on the noisy early morning landscapers of this property. The landscapers start the motor driven cutting machines and leaf blowers between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. They run the loud engines on and off for a couple of hours. This was daily except for Sunday. If you are familiar with the sound generated from leaf blowers, you know this is not a pleasant sound by your bedroom window! Especially on your vacation. I hope the manager takes notice of the extreme noise generated by the landscapng machines, and puts the peace and comfort of the guests as a priority. I Think the landscapers could do a good job without the noise generating equipment. I’m sure almost every guest hates the noise, and now that the manager is aware, takes action to correct this problem.

Check in is taking forever
They resort seems very chill but it took forever for them just to give us our room. They let us know that it would be ready by 1:30 and then 3:00 and 3:30. It is almost 4:00 pm and they still don’t have the room ready and it doesn’t seem like they’re in any rush to get our room ready. …………

must stay
adult only side of the grand. 2 pools, a swim up bar, they come around with snack. Lots of loungers, a dedicated breakfast and lunch buffet for that side. Rooms are huge, beds are terrific, grounds are well looked after, lots of hot water. staff is awesome.
