You will love this hotel! The service was top notch! Couldn’t believe how accommodating they were and genuinely nice. Loved our room and they are pet friendly. I will say you want to be in the newer wing. One of our party had the old wing and not near as nice. Definitely recommend! Again, the staff are top notch!
Pretty basic, and 2 King Room was tight fit for 4, but good location for skiing
Great location; just minutes from the very cool town of Crested Butte, and walking distance to the slopes. We were in a “2 King” studio unit (#413) and it was pretty tight for 4 people. One of the Kings was actually a murphy bed, and once it was folded down, took up most the room, making it difficult to even walk from one end of the room to the other, w/ suitcases, etc. It did have a little kitchenette w/ fridge, microwave, and 1 burner, plus a dishwasher. No balcony. There also wasn’t any a/c, and not much air flow through the one small window, but it cooled down at night, so we were ok. There’s an indoor, swim-under to outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness center, but all were currently closed due to COVID. There’s also a restaurant/bar that was also currently closed. The décor is kind of mountain lodge casual. Service was friendly. It was nothing fancy, but was a fine place to crash and explore Crested Butte.
We enjoyed our comfortable kitchenette. Lots of room for the two of us. However, there were concerns about the room. The fridge did not work nor the lock box was working. We reported the fridge after our first night but no one came to fix? Instead we had to use our cooler to keep our drinks and food cool.
I booked Grand Lodge due to pool and hot tub. Upon arrival found out they have been closed since March. Closing not disclosed during booking. When I asked about the closing I was told in a very condescending manner, "Its COVID dear,” many places in Colorado are operating pools and hot tubs safely. Also, the staff has no idea what is open in the mountain area. Staff is either uninformed or do not care. Lack of air conditioning is conveniently let out during booking. Yes, it gets quite cool at night, but a single window does not allow for air flow or a cool comfortable place to sleep.
This was not a great place for the money. There are more well apportioned more comfortable places for much cheaper near by. The pool was closed because the staff was to lazy to figure out how to make it safe for a swim and did they discount anything because of the virus crisis? Hell no. Won’t be back.
