    Loved it soooo much!

    Just got home from The Fives and was so sad to leave. The resort is beautiful, immaculately kept, lovely rooms, super comfy rooms with perfect air con. The setting is stunning, in amongst the most amazing tropical jungle with mangroves in the middle. Amazingly kept gardens and planting. Load of lush, clean pools with super fun swim up bars. Great choice of restaurants that are easy to get tables at, and if they are full one night they will ensure you can get a table elsewhere and go to the other another night. The staff are wonderful, friendly, fun and super helpful. The beach is lovely. A bit of seaweed at this time of year but it was cleared constantly and really didn’t bother us. Lots of wildlife around, which we loved. Great evening entertainment, the Joy and Wellness team are outstanding. Once in a lifetime excursions can be book from the hotel. Amazing!

    La Brasserie @ The Five Essence

    Tonight (3rd June) we experience the La Brasserie, the French Restaurant as part of our stay in the Five Essence hotel. To say we had a negative experience is a complete understatement. We arrived at the restaurant and told we had to wait for a slot, ahead of 7 families. This took around an hour despite there being available space in the restaurant to host more guests. Once we arrived and sat down in the restaurant, we were greeted with our waiter who was unable to speak any form of English and did not ask about any allergies which was completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. My partner has a nut allergy so this immediately made her feel uncomfortable. She took our order and we had to point at the menu for our selection of starters and mains (she still struggled to understand despite us trying our best to help her, using google translate too). My partner received her main meal, after 15 minutes of waiting, I asked where my meal was and I was promised that it was still “cooking”. Still no sign of the main course. My partner ended up going and speaking to the restaurant staff a further 20 minutes later to chase the meal. I believe there may have been some confusion surrounding my order due to the language barrier and it was perhaps never given to the kitchen however, the restaurant staff did not tell me this but instead told me the kitchen was “busy”. Upon leaving the restaurant, we were met by Oscar the manager who was very apologetic of the service received however, this was excuses rather than understandable reasons. Oscar apologised about the lack of communication with the waiters, restaurant managers and chefs. Whilst his apology was appreciated, we did not feel our concerns were understood. I would have much preferred that the restaurant staff were honest with us and that I was properly informed about where my food was throughout the wait rather than an excuse that it was still “cooking”. In total my main course took 50 minutes from the point of finishing my starter to when the main course arrived. And also to add to this my sides were not there either.

    Amazing

    Best trip ever. Great food. Service was impeccable. Lots of wildlife. Interacted with a spider monkey who wanted my glasses lol. Staff was the most courteous. Became a member and will be returning in Nov. Alejandro our conciere was amazing. Definitely recommend.

    A Much Needed Unforgettable Stay

    The Fives Beach Hotel was a great experience. The grounds were beautiful and very clean & kept. We enjoyed the evening/night entertainment, that was great! The property is huge, which did not have the time to experience all of the property, but many of the restaurants/bars, pool, and room was amazing. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The only downsize to the property was 1. there were not enough trolley stops to get around the property and 2. there should be more seats/chairs for the free evening/night entertainment. Nonetheless, The Fives was an unforgettable experience.

    Beautiful vacation and delicious food

    My partner and I stayed at the Fives Beach Hotel & Residences from May 4 to May 9, 2025, and what an outstanding experience it was! As someone with a severe egg allergy, traveling can be stressful. However, the staff at the Fives Beach Hotel went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe and cared for. At every meal, there was a personalized note with my name, and I was consistently reassured that all precautions had been taken to avoid any egg contamination. I can confidently give a 5-star rating for the food at this hotel. I’ve stayed in many luxurious 5-star hotels, and the Fives Beach Hotel truly exceeds many of them. We tried all the restaurants, and my favorite was Arezzo and Sea Olive, where I had the pleasure of meeting the chef from Naples. We also enjoyed delicious pizzas at lunch an absolute treat! Fernanda’s warm welcome, Rosalinda’s attentive service, and the kindness of their entire team made this a dream vacation. We were also fortunate to meet Jimmy, a passionate and dedicated professional. It's people like him who bring prestige to hotels like the Fives Beach. A heartfelt thank you to Francisco, who personally made sure every meal was both delicious and egg-free. You've built a team of true professionals—I tip my hat to you! We will definitely be returning before the end of the year. This stay will remain a beautiful memory for us.
