Great experience here.
Great experience here. There was an issue with the thermostat in our room and they promptly sent a guy to fix it. The next morning, the people above us flooded their shower and some water leaked through the light in our shower. Again, they promptly had a guy there to check on things. They ended up switching our room to a top floor a d on the water side. Way above and beyond anything they needed to do. Absolutely delicious breakfast too. Our bed in both rooms were both very comfortable. Everything was cleaned well and in good presentation. Every staff member we interacted with was top notch. Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing weekend! We can't wait to come back again!
This Hotel left us stranded
Less than 24 hours before our reservation was set to begin, the Edgewater sent us a nondescript blanket email stating the hotel was closed. The email didn't say if our reservation was cancelled. It didn't say whether we were getting a refund. It didn't even offer alternative accommodations. We get it, there's a pandemic and the landscape is constantly shifting. However, notifying us less than 24 hours before our reservation was incredibly unprofessional. To make matters worse, when I called for clarification, I learned that our reservation was cancelled the week prior, but nobody at the hotel bothered to notify us. We booked our room in June. There was ample time for the hotel to let us know that they were even considering closing. We received no apology. No notification that I was even refunded the cost of the room. No nothing. That left my wife and I stranded in Seattle looking for a last minute place to stay. Had we been given adequate notice, we would have easily been able to make alternative arrangements. This level of customer service would be frowned upon at even the worst tier of hospitality accommodations. But for a hotel of this level of alleged service, price, and prestige, this is atrocious. I would avoid the Edgewater. If this is how they treat their guests before you even get to the hotel, imagine what kind of respect they will have for you when it comes to the actual stay.
Fantastic Experiential Hotel
Since we were in Seattle for a few days, we had the ability to try a few different rooms at this hotel and I can say, they are all great. The suites, we tried to of them, we incredible! The decor or the entire hotel is fantastic and the restaurant (although expensive) is truly great. Friendly staff all around.
Superb room with a view!
If waterline views are your thing, this I the hotel for you! Sitting on Pier 67, at the end of Wall St., off Alaskan Way and only a few minutes' stroll from downtown Seattle, Pike Market and the iconic Space Needle, it really is conveniently located. Views from the hotel are out across the Puget Sound, a fab vista to enjoy a sundowner. Styled as a luxury 'mountain' lodge, the Edgewater exudes a somewhat 'rustic chic' with oak beams and rafters, a stone fireplace and antler chandeliers in the lobby. Rooms are reminiscent of a ships cabin, though modern and roomy. In house restaurant is called Six-Seven, food is superbly creative, thumbs up there. Staff super professional and friendly - will definitely return.
Beatles suite WAY over-hyped
Because I had seen on TV and read about the Beatles suite, it was a bucket list stay for me. All I can say is its waaaay over-hyped. There aren't even Beatles records in it everything in the room is a reproduction... it's not even the same room anymore it used to be the room next to it as well but now it's a single room. It's a 200$/nt max room, it isn't worth 700$/night. All hype.
