Hotel overview

Dramatically perched atop wind-swept dunes with expansive water views in every direction, the fully renovated Don CeSar is the crown jewel of Florida's Gulf Coast. Since 1928, this monument to glamour and leisure has welcomed sun-seekers, luxury travelers and some of America's most famous - and notorious - figures. Become part of the storied history of the legendary Pink Palace®. Iconic. Romantic. Celebratory.

New Luxury Seaside Accommodations On St. Pete Beach, Florida: It is “The Don” of a new era as the revival of Florida’s iconic Pink Palace® advances into its 93rd year as a living legend.  The grand public spaces are complemented by upgrades to the 277 chic and airy Floridian hotel rooms and suites.  The Don CeSar guestrooms feature beach-inspired textures and designer fabrics paying homage to the seaside Art Deco era. Custom millwork and a whimsical motif of coastal birds from the tropics drift overhead the whitewashed headboards as soft blush tones elevate the room similar to the hotel facade’s signature pink. In addition to a complete design transformation, some double guest rooms now feature upgraded layouts to allow for two queen beds, while bathroom space in many of the rooms is maximized by transitioning tubs to beautifully designed tile showers. From premium Wi-Fi to sumptuous cotton sheets and luxe bath amenities, guests are treated to a full range of modern amenities and personalized service.

A special place and experience for a special occasion, or simply to celebrate absolutely nothing.

The building itself, it’s beauty, history and location, the service, the pools, and views of the Gulf are unsurpassed. We did not dine at all of the restaurants but the quality of food where we did was acceptable, but not worth the price.

    Expensive but worth it!

We came for a staycation and it was wonderful! Everyone here is so friendly and not snobbish like at other luxury hotels. Lots of cool amenities included with your stay, making the resort fee totally worth it. Make sure you book a massage with Shanice at spa oceana! And eat at Maritana if you’re a big foodie!

    Beautiful 💕

The location is stunning- beautiful!!! Some things are missing: no room service- you only can grab things from the restaurant.. rooms were only cleaned every second day- that’s a no go - after a beach day and in this Priceline.. restaurant is ok but not really varied if you stay longer.. service at the bar: only 1 Person in the evening - and on the beautiful terrace at the top of the pool there is NO service -NO food or anything available in the evening during sunset (and that is the best time of the day and it would be a great location)

    Long Weekend Getaway for Two

The staff is what makes the Don the premier hotel in the Tampa Bay area. Friendly, professional & attentive. White glove treatment with every interaction, but in a way that is comfortable & inviting. Go to the Lobby Bar, ask for John & have him make you a Blood Mary. The sit back & relax. Best ever.

    Quiet and classy...to a point

The Don CeSar is where I go to recharge - at minimum once a year. I have been doing this for close to two decades. The room is always cleaned well, the valet's attentive and the beachside servers on spot. The location is at the end of St. Pete's beach, so you never have a crowd. The price point has risen significantly over the years and the minimum night requirement for holidays - as it has both changed hands and become more popular with the New York crowd. The amenities come and go, however a newer one is the renting of chairs to people that want to walk over to the hotel, but not staying at the hotel. I found myself not enjoying the solitude or peace and quiet as a group of ten ladies on a "girl's weekend" decided to rent a cabana and chairs next to ours. They formed a circle directly facing us, as we laid in our cabana. What I didn't experience was my recharge, what I did gain was an insight into every detail of their personal lives. Fortunately it was only one day at the beach that was ruined for us....but for the first time ever, we didn't leave planning our next visit.
