Great location and restaurants, but long checkin/checkout experiences

Overall, great location and restaurant/food options. You can walk indoors to Bellagio, Aria, Vdara and Park MGM to beat the heat. The room was clean, but the veranda furniture the confusing lighting controls and the bathroom fixtures were showing their age. Check-in experience wasn’t great. Stood in a line for 20 minutes to pre-check in, was told room would be available by 3pm (their standard check-in time). Finally got notified at 4pm that our room was ready, then had to stand in line again for another 30 minutes (in a different line dedicated for picking up keys). Check out was easy (online), but the elevator wait to get down to the lobby from the 56th floor was 45 MINUTES. Our group of 4 had to finally split up and take separate elevators just to make it down to the lobby (and one person in our group opted to just walk down 56 stories, som e it would be faster). The pools were nice (nothing spectacular), but very few chairs available in the shade, unless you paid to reserve. The pool in our tower was also unexpectedly closed at least one day during our visit. Wi-Fi wasn’t great, especially given the additional daily “resort fee” that was charged.

    Our go to spot

We have been to Vegas quite a few times and the Cosmo is our go to spot. The big draw for us is the balconies. It is so nice to be able to sit out and enjoy the weather and the view. We stayed for a week in May 2025 for my Birthday. We had some issues at check in. I had splurged for a Fountain View Terrace One Bedroom Suite. When we arrived, we were told that due to the time of day the rooms they had left were on the 15th floor so they were going to try to get us on a higher floor. We were given a room on the 31st floor. When we arrived to our room it was facing the strip. We had no view of the fountain. Additionally the tv, phone, and internet were not working in the room. We went back down the the desk and were moved to a Fountain View Terrace Suite room on the 42nd Floor. The room was great. The view was insane. We had no other issues during our stay.

Cosmopolitan was nice but needs to be a little more on top of their game.

We liked the Cosmopolitan but we did have some reservations about it. We had 3 nice rooms. A couple in each room. One room had hair in shower when we went in and another had an empty coffee cup sitting on table. The cleaning was not double checked. I checked in at he Marriott Bonvoy room. It was great because very little wait time. What I was surprised at was that the lady, Naya, who helped me was not friendly and very condescending when I asked her questions about the room locations. The restaurant, the Henry was delicious and a favorite even to get a late night treat. The hostess, Alexandra was so sweet. The rooms are big with great views but I think they are very dark.I would only return if I got a great deal otherwise we would stay somewhere else.

    Fantastic accommodation.

Outstanding room and location. Just returned from 5 nights here. Terrace suite with strip view (Chelsea Tower). The room was outstanding in every respect. Some complain about noise - the Strip is noisy - take ear plugs. Thankfully I wasn’t the side of the nightclub. I used Henry’s for breakfast - again it was outstanding service. I checked out a couple of hours after 11am. Was advised that morning it would be $50 for the extra 2 hours. Nothing appeared on my bill so happy at the error (or gesture). Location is great - right on the middle of the strip. Lastly, the hotel smells fantastic! I don’t know what they’re pumping through the hotel but it’s Devine! Sadly, it doesn’t overwhelm the ever-present smokers but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Don’t think twice if you want a great room and location - I’d return in a heartbeat.

    Rude and wrong

Rude and require you to walk to the front desk to make any changes to a reservations. Turns out that is NOT the case at all. Cosmo needs to train their staff.
