    Would not come back

The bathroom in our room was not very clean, we saw mold and weird stains, and the resort services seemed a little chaotic. The food wasn't our favorite, and a lot of the amenities were shut down while we were there.

Good week. We will return in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sunscape Resort. I gave it four stars out of five for the following reasons. The coffee shop in the morning served specially drinks to keep everyone happy. They also had muffins and assorted breads in the morning. In the afternoon they had small chicken and ham sandwiches. The buffet was solid. The breakfast buffet was highlighted by the home made taco bar and the omelette bar. Plenty of choices for everyone. We did not experience the lunch buffet. The dinner buffet was good and had different items highlighted each night. The best was the fajita barbecue. The Seaside Grill was more upscale and extremely good. We did not try the Italian restaurant, maybe next time. We were in room 441, in the main tower. The unit had apparently undergone a renovation in 2015. The beds were new. Hyatt appears to have painted the unit recently. There were two sizable negatives with the room. The front door and door frame to the room were badly beaten up. My guess is the door is the original from 1980. The L shaped couch in the sitting area should have been replaced 2-3 years ago. This is a very kid friendly resort. We gave the waiters extra tips, about 10% of what the bill would have been. This meant the service went from very good to exceptional.

Value Friendly and Top Tier service

This was a very nice family vacation at an all inclusive resort. It was very budget friendly and delivered in terms of value and service. The staff were all very accommodating and quite frankly were way better than I expected... the staff really make it worth it more than anything else there. The hotel is an older one and it is apparent, as well as the entertainment was more like a cruise ship level... bu... again I knew this was not a top tier place and they exceeded my expectations. I liked the LED show and the Magic show was very good :) We got very lucky with the weather for June... I will also say that I have a high level of standard for food options... That being said I knew that I was going to be having a lot of buffet style meals and they were decent enough. If you are seeking high end dining or flavorful food it is better to leave the hotel and seek more local places there are plenty of options. Drinks were good and they took care of you. room was decent although late night events could be heard in my room, which I did not mind but a light sleeper would.

A wonderful resort with the friendliest staff!

Everything was absolutely wonderful. I wish I could remember everyone's names but some staff that were very welcoming were Oscar and Khyris and Erika, Fernando and Mario and Jesus, and all the hostesses at the World Café, and our housekeeper, Tania. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Everyone was so patient with my Spanish and helped me practice. Remembered me and my abuela by name and greeted us. The resort was easy for my 81 year old Nana to navigate, the food was absolutely incredible. My Nana has stayed at over 10 places in PV and she said the food here was by far the best. The pool was great and refreshing and we could always find a chair. The resort was very clean and well taken care of. Our rooms were peaceful- we didn't hear a lot of noise. The beds were comfy and even the pillows were great (and im picky on pillows lol). I would 100% stay here again and look forward to bringing my kids here. The entertainment was really neat and this would be a fabulous place to bring children. The view was stunning and the buffet is right beside the ocean with a lovely breeze and an amazing view of the sunset!
