At the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, we aim on creating an intuitive and imaginative experience with spaces to connect, stay productive, and be part of something. Our latest design balances a feeling of timelessness with a modern ambiance. It aims to create a space in which guests will feel comfortable and at ease while relaxing or working. All of our accommodations have been redesigned with comfort and convenience in mind. Guest room highlights include refrigerators, microwaves and private balcony or patio. Each king room offers a queen size sleeper sofa and all double rooms feature two queen sized beds. The hotel also features 25 suites for the discerning traveler. Together, we are better.

    Ocean View Virginia Beach 2024

    The Oceanview was just that. Seeing the Air Force show in the air over the beach was captivating and beautiful. I would recommend this hotel and experience to others. Did I mention how good the food was as well? The Garlic Salmon with Garlic mashed potatoes with broccoli 🥦 was so flavorful.

    Not guest-friendly except for Mr. Eric

    We checked in on a Tuesday night and found a guest arguing with the 2 receptionists. They got to us 10 minutes later. We requested a late 3pm checkout on our departure date based on our Marriott Membership level. On our departure date, we had planned to go swimming in the ocean from 12pm to 2pm, return to our rooms, shower, and then depart on our six-hour journey back home, all happy and relaxed. However, starting from 10:45 AM until 12:20 PM, the housekeepers began knocking and banging on our doors. They harassed us at least eight times, and the last one was a man who banged on the door as loudly as a fireman banging on doors to get out people when a house is burning. Both the housekeepers and the front desk argued with us that we should’ve gone to the front desk on our checkout day to make a fresh request for the late checkout come out which they never asked us to do when we checked in it became nightmare and my entire family just got its vacation destroyed. no one wanted to go to the beach anymore. Eventually, we decided to pack up and leave by 2 PM. I would recommend you try the full-service Marriott or the full-service Hilton, both next door.

    Rooms not clean.

    Nice location. Hotel is in need of updating. Sheets were dirty when we arrived-big stain. Bathtub had small black hair everywhere. No shower body wash. Asked about getting some several times- never got any. Toilet paper holder kept falling off wall. Rooms were not very clean. Pool was not very clean. Outside pool bar rarely open. Food was expensive. Booked 3 rooms 8 months in advance and none of the rooms were on the same floor. Need more elevators, always a long line for them. Ice machine not working on most floors.

    Great location/hotel could do better

    Ocean view and location are the best parts of this hotel. Also, they have a nice place to sit outside and have lunch and a drink. Servers and bartender were very nice and helpful. This was our second time visiting. The room we got this year was a bit run down, thin walls means you hear all the neighbors coughing, tiny bathroom that was hard to turn around in, and not even a real closet. The most disappointing thing was that I left a brand new Kindle on the end table. No one could find it even though I asked for it within two hours of check out; clearly it was just taken. No one really seemed to care. That to me is a sign of a low grade hotel.

    GREAT VIEW WITH SOME BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

    The Good: -Allowed early check-in -The oceanfront view from the room -Bed is comfortable The Bad: -Microwave stayed on, had to unplug to turn off. Notified front desk, nobody came for replacement or fix -Housekeeping employees did not announce themselves. they just attempted to enter -Only two elevators -Parking is available for a fee, however it's still open to the public. No designated parking for guest unless it's the one that was on the top floor of the garage -Upon day of check out at 11am, housekeeping came to my door twice asking when we are going to leave -Booked room with third party (AMEX), and used a different credit card for holding fee in case of damages. They charged my other credit card full price of the stay (not for damages), then told me I would have to go through the refund process which make take a few weeks (no biggie) -Few weeks has passed, call them for a status of refund, and was rudely told to wait a few more days -.......few more days had passed and still no answer. Somebody at the front desk will answer the phone, put you on hold, and then just transfer your call (without a heads up), to somebody else that never picked up. Would I recommend this place? If you don't mind all the hassle in The Bad then sure, again the view is great. Would I go back again? Absolutely not!
