Nice but some things were not very pleasant

When we first arrived, things went great until we got to room and realized that they gave us wrong rooms. We switched amongst ourselves and went about our day. We went to a ballgame and when we came back, there was no place to park in the giant parking lot at all. Clearly, the Int'l Citrus Committee had come in and literally took up every empty space in the parking lot and, every empty space in the hotel. Suddenly, the lobby, the bar, the elevators and even my floor in the hotel were packed with people everywhere. It was noisy, full and just uncomfortable to deal with. Also, I guess the conference rooms in the hotel are on actual floors in the hotel versus the lobby so, guess where there was a conference being held? Yep, my floor. Also, out of 365 days and all the hotels in Florida, we pick the day, time and floor where construction is happening literally right in front of our hotel room door. Nice to wake up at 8 AM to someone drilling something in the walls and having it vibrate cause they are basically stripping the screw instead of drilling it in. The ease of getting to beach was nice. They have a cart that will shuttle you down to water so you don't have to walk with all your stuff and the outside staff were just cool as hell. But, charging $35 for chairs and then umbrellas as well was a bit ridiculous. Overall, I would go back but, I'd have to ask about conventions and construction first. It was a bit annoying not being able to park anywhere after being gone all day due to the sheer number of people all over the place.

    Fantastic hotel, fantastic service

My mom and I stayed at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. Nolan specifically at the front desk was great, he went above and beyond my expectations with service. It was my moms birthday and the staff at the hotel made my stay so special!!

    Beach retreat

Wonderful meal! Loud kids were stifled by staff - thank you. And the scallops and salmon were amazing! Mathew was a perfect server - attentive but not annoying. The salads were beautiful and filling. We enjoyed our dinner very much.

    Highly Recommend

Wonderful stay. Exceeded our expectations. Clean and accommodating. No reason to leave the grounds as they have everything one needs. Reminded us of being on a cruise ship. Balcony King on the gulf side was a perfect room to wake up and see the sunrise. Ate at Mainstay Tavern twice. Both times waiters were fantastic (actually perfect). Food was superb (grouper sandwich and mojito is a must order). Our stay occurred during the International Citrus Conference. All rooms booked and people everywhere. Every single staff was beyond helpful, friendly, professional and over accommodating. Sheraton Mgr, a standing ovation for your team!

    Wonderful place to stay

We spent this past Friday and Saturday night at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort and absolutely loved it there. The employees at check-in were so pleasant and friendly. The process was a breeze. There was plenty of parking. Our room was spotless and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. The room had a coffee maker and refrigerator and safe. The balcony view of the pool area, beach, and sunset was breathtaking. Saturday morning breakfast was really nice. I checked out the buffet and it looked delicious but I just ordered from the menu. The service was fantastic. We enjoyed the pool on Saturday. It was so nice. There were plenty of towels and chairs available. I saw some reviews mention that there is no shade, but there is, (not a lot, but enough if you need to get a break from the sun for a while.) There's a nice fire pit area with chairs all around and we saw people enjoying that in the evening. It looked nice. We had a nice lunch (pizza, turkey sandwich, fries and drinks) from the snack bar by the pool and the employees were great. Later we had some nice drinks from the tiki hut and those employees were really nice too. There's a strip mall type place that's a short walk from the hotel with about 4 restaurants, an ice cream shop, and a convenience store in it. If you want anything else, you'll need to drive or take transportation to it. There's a huge conference center at the hotel and they had stuff going on the whole time, but it seemed to be all professionals and it wasn't any kind of bother to us. We didn't utilize housekeeping while we were there but I did ask a young lady a question in the hallway and she was super friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
