Not 3 Star!
Hotel is average…definitely not 3 star. Sheraton could do much better with keeping it updated and cleaner! Cons: Slow draining shower; AC will not adjust to set temp; older TV with no guide in room; parking is ridiculous since not provided by hotel…have to go down and pay to renew parking pass by 7am for the day…this is a deal breaker for staying here again; had 2 water bugs/roaches in bathroom😩 Pros: good location, nice staff

Above and beyond service.
Hotel is a decent 3 star with really comfortable beds and very central with excellent service. What was truly excellent was Wesley McCormack who dug us out of a big hole created by Avis who did not have the car with a separate satnav (uk phones need a usa sim which we didnt have) that I had booked and also checked with the in-hotel desk the day before pickup. Fortunately the marvellous Wesley helped find a car from another rental company, took us there, took us to his house and lent us his personal navigation device which I promised to return when our tour was done. Above and beyond expectations. Superb.

Older hotel in an “ok” location.
Stayed in this hotel on two separate nights for work. The hotel is getting long in the tooth and the beds and furniture are worn out. You have no control on the AC or heat temperature. The thermostat is basically for looks. Room was a constant 74-76 even though it was set to 68. This happened during both stays. It’s basically an old “two pipe” building which has one mode for the entire building heat or cool, that’s it. Windows cannot be opened to let in fresh air because room and halls were humid. Location is ok but is next to a homeless shelter or low income assisted living with a heavy urine smell on the sidewalk and benches out front. Overall I would avoid and stay at one of the newer hotels in downtown Raleigh, there are many.

Super star staff at Sheraton Raleigh Hotel
My husband and I had the most amazing stay at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel on Easter weekend. The hotel is very nice, but what made the stay so amazing was the way were greeted and treated! The front desk staff went above and beyond! We were checked in by Arsenia Gamon, a very lovely lady with a kind smile. With the Bonvoy lounge being closed for the weekend, Arsenia gave us free breakfast vouchers for both days at Jimmy V's. We then met Joy Johnson who was also working at the check in desk and she asked what brought us to town. Telling her that my husband is an NC State alum, we enjoy a couple weekend getaways to Raleigh each year. My husband is a Jimmie V fan and loves the restaurant located in the hotel so we were very happy with the breakfast vouchers. We were in the room barley 15 minutes when we received a phone call from Joy. She said she had something for us and was bringing it up. A few minutes later, she appeared with a Jimmy V's golf shirt for my husband and a $50 dinner voucher for dinner! We were taken back by the kindness and generosity. Joy is a super star in our book and we look forward to coming back and seeing her smiling face on our next visit.
