If you can stay elsewhere, you should.
We recently had a miserable, but expensive, three-night stay. The room itself was decent, nothing special but functional with a nice balcony. And the gym was surprisingly nice. The good stopped there. This is a hotel where you get noise both inside and outside -- you can hear everything in the adjoining room and you can hear loud noises well past midnight from outside. Then garbage pickup starts around 6 am. Breakfast will run you $30 for a continental and even though we were entitled to two free breakfasts, we were never on the list and it took time just to get things squared away. Speaking of time, the elevators are a disaster. One of the four was permanently out, another broke while we were there and you could easily wait 20 minutes to find room in one. Everyone we encountered had the same experience and it was necessary to pile in whenever there was breathing room. We were also entitled to beach chairs but they were always out. The staff was friendly enough and apologetic but this was just all-around a terrible experience. We were due for another stay at the end of our trip but canceled that reservation and would never return.

No frills with great location
This hotel is right in the middle of the strip in Waikiki, so is very convenient to shops, restaurants, hotels, the beach, etc. We loved being able to walk across the street to the beach (near the Duke statue) and just running down to the different shops if we needed something. The staff was all extremely nice and welcoming. The housekeeping girls were especially sweet. Splashes Bar in the lobby serves drinks, appetizers, and some simple food items. Their menu is limited, but convenient if you don't want to go off property. Our standard room was extremely tiny. About the size of a New York city hotel room. The bathroom was also tiny, so it was a tight squeeze for both of us. No balcony in the standard room either. We had some issues with the toilet not flushing properly. The pool area was small, but adequate. They have beach chair rentals...free for Marriott gold or above, otherwise $10/day or $20 for your whole stay, which was a deal. Location was definitely the draw here. I'm sure they had much bigger and nicer rooms than ours.

Jeffrey at the Front Desk was Awesome!
Jeffrey at the Front Desk was Awesome! He was courteous, professional, and was dutiful. We are “first-timer’s” at this property but Jeffrey made feel at home. Overall the service from other associates here were positive too. ………………………..

Close to the beach
Very pleasant front desk Jeffrey was great. Was able to get us into our room a little early. We were also pleasantly surprised with the location. It’s right across from the Westin Moana, surfrider and we were able to use the Restaraunts at the Westin as well as the Sheraton Waikiki.

Sheraton Princess Kauilani is outstanding.
This Sheraton is centrally located in Waikiki and is outstanding. Great service, attentive staff, awesome views. We’ve been here two week in room 1154 in the tower partial ocean view and the view is beautiful and somewhat better than most ocean view rooms. I would highly recommend this Sheraton.
