Great location for Disneyland
This hotel was closer than we thought for Disneyland, only a 10-minute walk up the road for us. It was also close to Anaheim Garden Walk to get dinner and see the light displays. I got a good night sleep on a comfortable bed, however some of the decor was a bit tired and worn a little in my room. We were asked for our preference of view on check-in (of the fireworks, or no fireworks) and were able to be accommodated on the date we stayed. It's perfect for anyone who wants a decent hotel at a price that won't break the bank.
We normally stay in Fullerton when we go to DIsneyland, but we were able to get a better rate here, so decided to give it a try. The hotel is close enough to the parks that you can walk. Check-in was pretty easy and we were given a room on one of the higher floors overlooking the parks. We were looking forward to watching the fireworks from our room, but they didn't take place the nights we stayed. There is a charge for parking and we didn't have a problem finding a parking place when we would return after going out to dinner/shopping. I'm Bonvoy Titanium for Life and thought it might be nice if the hotel either discounted the parking, or waived the fee, for those at the high levels. We had access to the concierge lounge which offered continental breakfast and evening offerings. We also received two drink coupons per day, which was a nice benefit. We stopped in most evenings for a snack and a glass of wine/beer. We had breakfast one morning, but really wanted hot food. I stopped at the front desk and they gave us coupons to use in the restaurant the following mornings. We did have to stop each day to get another coupon instead of receiving them for the entire stay. A king room wasn't available for our entire stay and I was told we would have to move during our stay if we wanted the king. I opted to just keep the room with two queens and the view of the parks. Room was clean, had a safe, coffeemaker, etc. I was surprised that the hotel does not have a green program where you skip housekeeping and get bonus points as a reward. The bathroom was a bit on the small side. I took advantage of my late check-out and arranged with the front desk for the late check-out time and my keys were reprogrammed. When we returned to the hotel our keys did not work, so I returned to the front desk to get them reprogrammed again. The associate at the desk disappeared to the back with my keys. She was gone for quite some time and I had no idea what the issue was. She finally returned and I asked what the issue was. She said she couldn't reprogram them at the desk. She should have informed me in advance as to what was happening. I asked if they would work to get us out of the parking lot and she said yes. While I was checking out, my husband got the car and was going to meet me out front, but he couldn't get out of the parking lot as the reader didn't recognize his key. The associate at the front desk did something and said it should work, but it didn't. I had to take a key out to my husband so he could get out of the lot. This associate really did try to fix the problem and then compensated me for the problems. The hotel is within walking distance to Disney and many restaurants.
as per expectation
good location amidst all frenzy ... same great service expected from the chain .. rooms are cozy though .. a very expensive package if not booked in advance .. ample parking space which is a big deal in the area..
Not bad but check on your reservation
We recently stayed at this hotel while attending a conference at the nearby Anaheim Convention Center. We had booked a high floor room with a Disneyland view room to ensure seeing the daily firework show but when we arrived we were given a room on the other side of the building with no acknowledgement of the error. When we reported this we were informed that no “view” rooms were available until the next day unless we would accept smaller beds. No apology and even the next day we were made to wait until after 4pm to change despite previous guests having checked out 3 hours earlier. Having said that, the room we finally got was excellent and well maintained through our stay. The “Club Lounge” for which we had paid access to was nothing special but with a reasonable simple breakfast and evening drinks - just not much space and average seating. Given the poor standard of other nearby hotels we would probably come back if ever in the area but it would not be our first choice.
Quick visit to Disneyland for Rise of the Resistance
I've stayed here on previous trips with my family but never reviewed. The Pros: * Location is close enough to walk (15-20 mins max depending on your speed) * Walgreens and CVS 5 min walk away for water, snacks and the usual * Nicely laid out rooms with central air that's relatively quiet for it's age The Cons: * Can get crowded during peak check-in times * No upgrades for Platinum elite status (three stays so far) The net is that we'd stay here if the prices are in reasonable compared to other hotels i the area.
