Credit card holding deposit not being refunded
Credit card holding deposit: It has been two weeks since my stay at the sheriton and I'm still waiting for my credit card holding deposit to be refunded. Staff was quick to take my holding but refunding the money is not happening. No communication nor regard for international guests.

Nice location /Old hotel /Average service
very very very very old hotel ! the furniture is old & scratched, the windows are not clean, there was no fridge, it took ages for the bell man to come to the car /get the luggage . . . & the bell man never showed-up at the room to pick our luggage when we were leaving (despite asking in-person, calling, & then having room service call him as well). BUT the hotel is nicely located downtown . . .

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel in my life
The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Stay away. A one star rating is the only thing I could select. Otherwise, I would give this hotel a zero. This staff management and general manager Jim Mooney - completely ignorant on how to handle a customers dissatisfaction. No refund on false charges and neglect to handle a situation within a timely manner. They call themselves a resort, and that is a lie. Please do not get trapped into the extra fees that they add at this hotel. This is no resort destination they trap you for your money and add on a bunch of fees that you don’t even know until after you get the bill.. There is no room service. There is no refrigerator in any of the rooms. Additionally, they have pets, constantly barking and making noise. Additionally, they do not offer any refrigerators, and when I went down to request a refrigerator, I was denied. To make matters worse, hotel charged me for an additional room that was a mistake on their part. And on top of that the hotel management and staff that I have reached out to multiple times Jim Mooney, Bill Russell, Kader and Gina -are doing nothing. Worse yet hotel charging both credit cards all at the same time to double the pay for a room. I have never experienced a more destructive disorientated management and staff along with the general manager.

Not the best hotel
We recently stayed here for 4 nights and can honestly say we were a bit disappointed. The staff on check-in were really friendly informing us we had complimentary wi-fi and $120 free to use in the bar or restaurant however we couldn't use the wi-fi for at least 2 days and had to keep asking reception what was the issue. After 2 different reception staff kept telling us it was something to do with our phones, funnily enough after speaking to the 2nd we suddenly received it. Breakfast in the hotel was a joke. Very little choice and had to ask for drinks from the waiter. We heard the Restaurant receptionist being very rude to some other resident. The bedroom was very clean and tidy however the windows were very dirty and the blind was stuck down so couldn't have it open. The bathroom was also very clean and well stocked with toiletries. There wasn't a fridge to keep the bottle water cold and the Air con was being switched off whilst we were out. The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was very soft and had dips in it, definitely needed replacing. The Concierge was brilliant gave us lots of tips of where to visit and eat. The bar area was very well set out and the Server Cathy was very friendly and actually interested in talking to us. Also giving tips on how to get around the city. We were very impressed with the lifts great idea so you weren't all squashed into one. You have to pay for them to store your luggage at the end of your stay, we've had that before and not had to pay. Generally disappointed with the hotel.

Front Desk Issue
It is impossible to reach the front desk over the phone. I understand that the hotel can be short staffed, but I would like to write an email to the general manager to address this issue. It does not make sense for a guest to be on hold for over an hour trying to reach the front desk on the phone.
