Comfortable and pleasant stay
We stayed here for a 4-day trip, two moms and our daughters. The hotel was very accomodating. We requested to have rooms on the same floor and they went a step further and gave us rooms next to each other. The rooms were clean and we had mini-fridges to store our leftovers. An added bonus is that they offer bottled water daily to the guests, simply visit the concierge desk. A few times our girls forgot the room's entry keys and the staff were able to assist us hassle-free. I gave a 4 star because of the poor water pressure in the shower, which is not a reflection of the staff and their kind hospitality. On the last day, we were running late for check-out because of the COVID PCR test requirement to return to Canada, the hotel was once again accomodating and extended our check-out. This hotel is conveniently located - minutes north of Times Square and south of Central Park, minutes to Rockerfella Centre, Radio City Hall, Theatre District, and so much more. Metro stations are within walking distance and are the best choice to get around as NYC traffic bottlenecks.
Post Thanksgiving trip - perfect location, even better people
We had a short but wonderful stay at the Sheraton this past weekend. The hotel is in a perfect spot by Times Square. The best part though, were the people we encountered there. The doorman on arrival, Alex who welcomed us at the front desk. Starbucks and the desk team as we left all made us feel welcome and comfortable Look forward to getting back again soon
Had a great time!
The location is perfect to go to the nearby theaters. The hotel itself is huge, with a lovely bar that overlooks the street and made me stay there instead of going out the first night. Also, on a rainy day that had me cancel my plans of going out, I visited the gym and Andre there was amazing, putting so much attention and personalizing the experience to my needs, providing me with useful tips I can use in the future as well. This made my otherwise ruined day to one unique experience, as I would never expect having a personal training session in NYC! The rooms may be a little out of fashion but still the bed and the view was great. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
Seriously In need of a major update. Seriously!
We always stayed in the heart of time square but got tired of it. This hotel is a few blocks away but still close to restaurants and theaters. From the exterior it looks dated but thought the rooms might be ok. We were wrong. The room definitely need an update. It is not just dated but falling apart. The only saving grace is the bed. Super comfortable. Hence the two stars Service is ok as you would expect from Sheraton. Breakfast is typical American breakfast.
Things to be improved
We were excited getting a high floor room in a hotel within walking distance to Time Square. The staffs were very helpful. We arrived early so they offered to keep our luggage so we can enjoy the city while waiting for our room. They let us do both an early check in and a late check out too. So really there is nothing to complain about the staffs. The room though can be improved. I expected having a mini fridge is standard but turned out i was wrong. Also, the shower wall (there isn't a door) covers only 2/3 of the shower so water splashed everywhere. Having a wet floor in our bathroom did annoy us.
