    Average stay

I was there for one full week as part of a school trip. Our stay was pretty average since rooms are pretty worn-out and on the smallish side. A huge issue was that of the lifts system: because of the large number of people at the hotel for the same educational project and the small number of lifts available, the waiting time was almost unbearable and we ended up taking the stairs quite often. On the other hand, the location was a plus since the hotel is very close to the MoMA, Central Park, Time Square and many options for food and shopping.

    Great location, not much else

The elevator system at the Sheraton is one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced in any hotel. It’s probably fine a lot of the time, but if you are traveling in a large group and the hotel puts you on the same floor (which they do), it is a nightmare. One elevator will be dedicated to your floor (and many others) so you end up waiting 10-15 minutes for a single elevator to come and it’s already full with people from a floor above. It literally took us over 30 minutes to get an elevator multiple times on our trip. And the stairs are not accessible to go up, and when I asked if they could be I was simply told “No.” The rooms are small and have no refrigerators. Our room had no information and no labels on the phone. I had to look up the hotel online and call the front desk from my cell phone to find out anything. The food is not good at all and incredibly overpriced, though the Library Bar did try to be accommodating of food allergies which I appreciated. Please, please, please change the elevators to the way everyone else in the world does it. Why are you looking for solutions to problems that don’t exist?

okay for short trip but there are better options

Stayed for three nights in December as I got a good rate - If I had to pay full price, I would have gone for another hotel. Positive: -reception staff always very friendly and helpful -clean rooms -comfortable beds -location Negative: -bedroom + bathroom are really old, renovation would be good -breakfast really expensive (only used it for the last morning and paid 94$ for two person incl tax+tip, for this amount I would have expected a greater choice, not even bread or rolls were available except toast) -after check out we wanted to store our luggage for the day and were charged 5$ each item, I honestly have never experiences that hotels charge me again to store my luggage - especially not if I already paid a huge amount per night For a short stay it was okay but next time I'd book another hotel.

    Never Again.

Arrived at 7:00PM, room was not ready. So went our for dinner, came back and room still wasn't ready. Front desk lady was rude. Mgr said he would give me 10,000 point which he didnt. Plus the rooms are dirty and out dates. Never again if it were free.

    Great location and easy parking

This hotel was far enough from Times Square to avoid the craziness but close enough to walk to theaters, restaurants, museums. We are seniors and didn't want to train in from out of state...so were looking for some way to drive ourselves without hassle. This hotel has an adjacent overnight garage, not managed by Sheraton but with a doorway right into the Sheraton lobby. Very easy. The hotel is a little old and so you could see a few places where a paint touch up might soon be due, but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the staff was great. There was a restaurant open for breakfast and a small bar for a late-night toast.
