Nice but overpriced
It’s a nice hotel and service is good. I like all staff I dealt with. Self parking could be busy sometimes but they allow to use valley parking spots for free. Towels service, housekeeping and concierge service are excellent. Lava cafe is pretty good for lunch and breakfast. Rum Fire restaurant is just OK for the money. But there are small disappointing details. Sand beach is very attractive but the hotel has only one shower to wash out sand after swimming and this shower is not in a good shape. Also it’s far from the beachfront property we stayed in. Hotels WiFi Is a close to a joke in the evening time. I can tell the same about is hotel’s internet TV which is not accessible in high demand time.

Bad noise isolation
I’ve stayed here twice on a vacation package. The biggest issue is that all “hotel rooms” (as opposed to studio+) have doors to the room next door. Sitting on the bed, I could hear every word of the conversation next door - even though they were not speaking loudly. The hotel told me my only option was to pay more for a studio. The studio was nice aside from a semi-functional dishwasher - but I should not have to pay more for something as basic as not hearing every conversation next door. While the hotel claimed people rarely comment on this, the sales staff were very aware of this issue. WiFi is always crashing - just ask them for the “secret” network to resolve the problem. Overall the facilities are nice and clean, the staff are good, but you will need to advocate for yourself a lot.

Amazing Location, but Some Letdowns
The location of the Sheraton Kauai Resort is absolutely perfect—right on a stunning stretch of beach with gorgeous sunsets every night. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the overall vibe is very relaxing and peaceful. That said, the rooms were just average. They could definitely use some updating, especially considering the price point. Food options on the property were okay, but nothing stood out and choices felt limited for a resort of this caliber. Also, the WiFi was frustratingly slow and spotty throughout the property, which made staying connected a bit of a hassle. If your priority is beach access and beautiful surroundings, it’s a solid choice. Just don’t expect luxury-level amenities across the board.

Exceeded Expectations – Warm Service & Perfect Location
We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Kauai Resort! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm, personal welcome from Sheryl at the front desk, who made us feel truly valued as guests. Her friendliness set the tone for the entire visit. Throughout our stay, the service was excellent—especially at the on-site dining options. Maynel at the Link Café went above and beyond every morning with attentive, cheerful service that stood out. The resort itself is in a spectacular oceanfront location, with breathtaking views, very clean rooms, and well-maintained grounds. We had read reviews noting that the property is a bit older, so we came in with slightly lower expectations—but we were pleasantly surprised. Not only did it feel fresh and nicely updated, but we also stayed at a couple of newer resorts during our trip and ended up preferring the Sheraton for its quieter, more relaxed, and personal atmosphere. One of the biggest highlights was the beach directly in front of the resort. It was ideal for swimming and felt far less crowded than other resort beaches we visited across the island. It quickly became our favorite spot play to relax. We’re so glad we chose the Sheraton Kauai and look forward to returning in the future!

Could be a lot better!
First off, HOW CAN YOU HAVE A BAD TIME IN HAWAII! Hawaii is beautiful and great, anytime! However, this Sheraton property is really lacking. Breakfast option is weak at best; as a long time patron of Marriott breakfast was included (well kind of) but wasn't worth eating so we ended up going off property to eat breakfast. The Lavas restaurant, we tried it for burger one time...average to below average; had the nachos another time...covered with oily cheese and were horrible. Tried to order a charcuterie board and wine for my wife on her birthday, only to have the hotel not deliver and didn't really care. Had several other encounters where staff just didn't care so I tried to reach the general manager. What a waste of time. I sent the GM an email and after two weeks of no reply I sent a follow up to her, only to receive the worse reply possible. The views are beautiful but options at this hotel are weak at best. What a shame because the setting is magnificent; however, there are other hotels nearby with views that are just as good!
