Awesome service. I'm in love with Victor because his customer service is to the Nth degree. His recommendation for carnitas tacos was exactly what I needed with the nice icy cold beers. Come for drinks and food and Victor will make sure you don't feel as though you are sitting alone.
Stayed three nights, the room had a really comfy bed and good shower. The only downside to the hotel was the wi fi was almost non existent unless you wanted to pay $15 a day which is poor for how much the room cost per day, in today’s day and age I expect good free wi fi.
Great place awesome people!!!
Stayed here this past week. Our experience was great! Room was clean bed was comfy. But the best part of our stay was the staff! Mary at the front desk was very sweet and helpful with a great smile and energy. Front desk night staff lulu G was very friendly and nice answering all our questions. Thomas was super nice when he came to drop off something to our room. Kenneth and sarah at the yard bar gave great customer service! We enjoyed having a drink and chatting with them. We are really impressed with the service these staff members gave. Good job everyone your hard work is appreciated and we will be back because of this!! We were here celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us.
place to stay in austin
when I go to austin for business I alway stay at this property. It is convenient to local spots yet its far enough away frrom the hustle and bustle of 6th. Great bar b que, great nightlife and great walking city
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was generally comfortable. We were attending a conference at the University of Texas, which was about a 20-minute walk from the hotel, which involved taking a pleasant path through the grounds of the Capitol. We enjoyed the fitness center, which was open around the clock. The wi-fi was reliable. In terms of what made us describe our stay as 'average,' we would go back to the location. We didn't mind the 20-minute walk to the University, but it seemed that there was not much that was actually close to the hotel. Getting to the downtown took about 15 minutes, walking through some dodgy areas. The hotel has the Interstate 35 (a slow-moving, ever-congested highway) on the east side, which leaves one feeling cut off from the east side of the city. The hotel does not offer much in terms of dining, which exacerbates the problem associated with the hotel's location, since most meals will have to be taken outside of the hotel. Although we booked a room without feather bedding, we were given a room with feather bedding. Strangely, staff at the bar in the hotel told us that they were unable to display, on any of the televisions at the bar, a Dallas Stars game. It was surprising to learn that the games, played by a Dallas sports team, were unavailable in Austin. Finally, we did not consistently receive the high quality of service that we expected from hotel staff. For example, when our key card inexplicably stopped working, leaving us unable to get into our room, we were told that there was no way to get the problem fixed immediately. Instead, we were told that we would have to go to the end of a very long line of people waiting to check in to the hotel. On another occasion, we were surprised by the answer that we received from staff at the front desk when we asked about how to arrange a taxi to the airport - the staff member suggested that we use Google!
