Courtland Grand Experience 11-13 July 2025

My wife and I stayed at your hotel for our family reunion 11-13 July 2025. The best part of my experience at your hotel was the valet service, especially MJ. The parking was extremely crowded and busy when we pulled up and MJ had the most pleasant attitude, like he enjoyed his job. He was not upset or grumpy because of the busyness, he thrived on it. Employees like MJ can make or break your hotel experience because he’s the first employee you encounter. His customer service skills and professionalism are exceptional. Now, I did have a problem with my shower; my wife took a cold shower when we arrived because the handle was put on backwards (you normally turn the handle to the left for hot water and the right for cold water). We called once for maintenance and no one showed up and I had to go to the front desk and speak with the manager (she was very helpful in getting maintenance to my our room 258). Also, as big as the hotel is, you should have more carts to assist patrons when checking in and out of your establishment. Having more carts would allow valet to move cars quicker upon checking in & out of your hotel.

    Mixed Feelings, but happy

I’m going to write a very fair review, the good and the bad. First, let me say that I was very relieved upon arrival because the lady at the check in desk was extremely nice. I’d been calling all morning to try to get an early check-in and the phone was NEVER answered. Don’t bother calling the hotel or the 800 number (which will land you at an offshore call center)—you will not get an answer. The lady was so gracious as to allow us early check-in and she even signed me up for Wyndham rewards and waived the 65 dollar early check-in fee. There were only 2 rooms ready for early check-in (the hotel was sold out due to the Beyonce concert), and the lady beside her tried to whisper for her not to give me one of the rooms. Thankfully she ignored her and gave me the room. She also gave us 2 bottled waters out of a case of waters that she slung up on the counter. (I think a nicer touch would be to have the bottles in the room). I wish I knew her name because I’d like to recognize her for being so kind. We were placed on the 9th floor. I was so relieved that the room was nice and clean after having read such mixed reviews. We were in the North Tower and only had a view of the other tower which was fine, we were there for the concert, not the room. The bathroom is EXTREMELY small. The door is a sliding door that was not hinged properly so it will likely fall any day. The toilet, sink, and shower are too close for my comfort. The tub is an old school bathtub with a shower in it. This is a one night only kind of place. The tub did not drain properly. I washed up using the sink because standing water makes my skin crawl. The hotel charged me for valet and I did NOT use valet. I am in the process of disputing the charge. There is a parking garage across the street that I used. I parked once and we walked everywhere except the concert. Location is PERFECT for walking around downtown or catching the Marta. The location is the best thing about this hotel. The concierge was a joke. They literally advised us a “restaurant” at a food court with a “world renown chef. It was food court food. On a scale of 1-5, the location is a 5, the service from that one lady is 5 and a zero for everyone else, the room is 3 (2 for the bathroom), and the price is a 5 because I paid 150 through TripAdvisor after booking concert tickets. The night after the concert I stopped at the desk and asked for a bottle of water and was told “No! Only 2 per checkin”. After trying everywhere to get water, I returned to the desk and said “ma’am please, I am feeling sick. I’ll buy the water”. After rolling her eyes she gave me a bottle of water. As info, every other hotel in that area is 500 a night. This hotel has plenty of potential. I’d love to be on a review committee to help Wyndham bring it up to par. Overall, I’m satisfied for one night. It was clean, close to the venue, and we were able to check in early. One night only, a

Came for Beyonce with Vibee Package

Great pool and location! I booked with the Vibee Beyonce package, the rooms need some updating but I still slept great. Bernice at the grab-and-go was a bright spot! Friendly, fast, and made mornings better with her warm smile and excellent service.
