    Clean rooms, really good service, but dated decor

    Clean rooms, really good service, but dated decor. My room was mostly fine and the bathroom was pretty updated. The HVAC vent into the room was really dirty though and needed replacing or at least deep cleaning. The location is decent, although the neighborhood is a little sketch and didn't feel super safe (this holds true for all the hotels in this area near the convention center). The staff was really friendly and helpful

    Do not stay here.

    Absolutely horrible hotel. Carpets were disgustingly dirty, with what appeared to be burn marks or something, plus gooey residue on the carpets in the hallways. Service in the restaurant was amazingly slow -- it's the only time I have left only a 10% tip.

    Great Experience

    I stayed at the Courtland Grand for four nights for a work conference in November, 2024. Before my trip, I checked out the reviews for the hotel and, frankly, I was seriously considering staying at another hotel even though the Courtland Grand was the host hotel. After my stay there, I am seriously shocked at how negative so many of the reviews were. I had an excellent experience. Yes, the hotel is older, but in my opinion, it was neat, clean, and well-kept. My room was very comfortable and spacious. I ate at Fandangles, the hotel's restaurant, twice for dinner enjoyed my meals. The hotel gym is spacious and clean. One of the pieces of weight equipment was out of order but the everything else was in order. What I found a bit odd was that the concierge desk was staffed by individuals who were offering a free trip or something. As soon as I sensed it was a timeshare or other such gimic, I just said no thank you and kept walking. The area around the hotel is city-like with a lot of homeless people. I felt very comfortable walking around during the day. I found a cute Irish Pub nearby, Meehans, and enjoyed a meal there. Again, my experience at the hotel was great and I would absolutely recommend it.

    First time in Atlanta

    The hotel was quiet and clean, friendly staff. Most of the places were in walking distance, including the aquarium. The view was nice, security all throughout the city including the hotel, I will definitely be back next year. Thank you for my experience

    Don’t recommend

    I stayed here for a conference and had a terrible experience. When I first arrived, there was a literal toilet in the hallway across from my room. All of the outlets in my room were loose, so if I plugged my phone in to charge before bed, I’d wake up and the charger had fallen out. I spent 5 days in this hotel and not once did my room ever get cleaned. I never even got toilet paper despite asking for it. I also heard horror stories from my colleagues but since those stories are not my own I will not share. I would never stay at this property again.
