Beach vacation in Montego Bay
The resort is beautiful and well located, just a 15-20min ride from the airport. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We felt well taken care of and enjoyed the pools, spa and beaches. The food was decent but not exceptional. The views from the Altitude rooftop restaurant and lounge are spectacular.

Wonderful. Ya man!
Staff, bartenders, butlers, everyone is overwhelming kind and upbeat. Facilities are not extraordinarily grand but the staff make up for it. We were upgraded to preferred and the butler service was wonderful. Would go back! Entertainment was very good. Definitely need reservations for hibachi and Italian.

Amazing resort
Beautiful clean hotel. Staff is warm, welcoming, very helpful, very up beat and positive. Beaches are beautiful. Bring your snorkeling gear to see lots of wild life. Food is excellent. Worth the upgrade to preferred! Adia is a gem if you upgrade to a butler.

Great trip!
Couldn't say enough good about this resort. Very friendly staff, food was wonderful and abundant with a lot of variety, and the location is beautiful right on the end of a peninsula surrounded by Montego Bay. The excursions were fun and well planned out. Amstar was easy to work with, curtious, and easy to find in the blue shirts.

Standards have seriously declined - won’t be staying again.
Currently staying at the Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay. We’re staying in a swim up suite in the preferred club section of the hotel - second time here. Standards have seriously slipped. Service is not great although we do have the butler service and this is very good. It would be an awful experience without the butler service. All other service is mediocre at best. Not to the standard expected in a 5 star resort. Poor attitude, grumpy and unwilling to help. Food quality has seriously deteriorated since our last visit and is poor. A few examples below. When attending the Italian restaurant, we had a reservation at 7pm - we were eventually seated at 7:25. We then placed our order and requested drinks. Starters were bought out fairly quickly, then some bread once our starters had been finished and then drinks. Odd way to serve a table but not the end of the world. We then sat until 8:35 with no main course bought to the table and no communication from the staff. We then decided to leave and get room service as we were very hungry and we’d been waiting for over an hour and a half at that point. Someone then bought room service to our room and decided to try and tell me how a restaurant works and that our experience was normal - it wasn’t. I explained that I didn’t need anyone to tell me how restaurants works and that the service was poor. The quality of the food is only just acceptable and not what you expect from a 5 star resort. All the while, there are huge queues of people trying to get a table to eat. The next evening we decided to try the Asian restaurant. Again starters were served reasonably quickly but with a fairly substantial break until the main course was bought - nowhere near as bad as the previous night at the Italian restaurant though. Unfortunately my partners meal was stone cold and she decided not to say anything due to the attitude of the staff member the evening before - it’s clear that they aren’t interested in improving anything and that the default position is to try and defend the poor service rather than apologise and improve. This is not a 5 start resort in terms of service, amenities and food. We won’t be returning again and will be looking for an alternative resort for our annual trip to Jamaica.
