May 26, 2023Amazing vacation!
We had a wonderful experience at Secrets Playa Mujeres! The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. The food was delicious. Our favorite restaurant was the Italian restaurant Portofino. The staff was excellent and truly went above and beyond for the guests. I would like to mention the concierge at the main lobby Alex. He was a pleasure to be around and went out of his way to transport us to the golf course so we could visit the Pro Shop. Jamie at the pool and beach also went above and beyond with his friendly service. One of our favorite things that we did was the bike tour. You get to see many beautiful plants, crocodiles, iguanas and beautiful sights along the way. Our tour guide Angel with the entertainment staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable! The nightly shows were also very entertaining! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and service. 10/10 recommend Secrets Playa Mujeres!

Riding bikes
Angel is the best your guide! We rode bikes and had a great time. Supplied water and gave us all the information on the iguana house and plants used to make mezcal / tequila. I honestly could not recommend him more!

So to start this is not the hotel we booked originally and I was devastated when I was transfer to this hotel. I went there with a negative mind but I was proven wrong. This hotel is spotless, clean every single day/hours! There is always someone busy cleaning or fixing thing and without any disturbance The pool get very busy and the sunbed get taken very quickly so be prepared to wake up early if you want a nice spot Just be aware that if you are planning to wear white bikini or white throw , the water is going to ruin it, I have £100’s worth of swimwear and beachwear that are completely ruined because of the water There is show at the pool everyday and it give a luxury feeling to have live band, or saxophone player while you chill, love this little touch The room are quite big, we had an issue with the ceiling from our bathroom falling down and it was fix witching 4 hours , so impressed The food, the restaurant are ok not bad not excellent either Our favourite was gaucho and hitachi. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was actually amazing . What make me give this hotel a 4 and not a 3 is the staff. The staff is incredible and for UK traveller , you don’t need to tip to have an absolute amazing services , we did tip but after few days and not everyday. Maria at the pool is an absolute stars The beach is pretty but a lot of seaweeds, nothing that can be done by the staff. For the smoker : you do have two smoking area, despite everyone complaining about having to go there to smoke I think it was a good way to meet people and it also made me smoked a bit less so win win for me This hotel would be 5 if they were spending a bit more on food and the final touch. There is something missing to make it an absolute luxury. I would recommend it for sure

Secrets Best Activities
Best experience of my life! Angel made us move at the Pool with some good songs! Best crew! I would come back again. The food is amazing, the beverages are good and you can share pools with the Dreams.

Best vacation I’ve had in years
This place is absolutely paradise. From the moment you step foot on the resort, you are treated like royalty. The resort is very clean throughout, with plenty of restaurants and bars to visit. The views here are out of this world, you’ll keep having to pinch yourself throughout the entire trip. Of course the trip wouldn’t be complete without the outstanding experience from all the staff. Each person goes out of their way to make sure you are completely taken care of. Throughout my trip there were many individuals who contributed to this being such a memorable trip, but I would like to take a moment to highlight the following: Bellboys Joshua Luna, Helio, and Jose Tapia. These 3 made sure I was transported between the different resorts with ease and safely. They work very hard to make sure everyone is having a great time. Joshua even helped book a taxi for me when it was time to go! Couldnt recommend them more’n Pedro, Misael and Karen from Club Hideaway in Dreams. They are in a tiki-bar on the beach, and every time I showed up, it was like family. The service was excellent and they always made you feel welcome. Great bunch. Lastly Donnis and Marcos from the Tiki-bar on Secrets beach we’re incredible as well. They always greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm, it always left everyone around wondering who I was. They make you feel great! Overall the trip was a 10/10, and I really can’t wait to go back.
