Get rid of the constant bombardment loud DJ music
Great location that is environmentally hampered by loud DJ music 12 hours each day! Felt more like college spring break rather than a restful resort for adults.

Way to Go Entertainment Team!
Overall, the resort was nice. Beware of the High-Pressured Vacation Club Salespeople. "We just want an hour of your time; this is NOT a timeshare." 3 hours later, we finally told the 5th person who tried to talk us into it no and we are done. We got up and left. The entertainment and food staff were wonderful. But I have to shout out to 5 of the entertainment staff that were exceptional!!! Thank you Jerick for the great snorkeling tour, Hazel and Mariana for their bracelet making and dancing skills. Merari and Tammy for inviting us to play games and their overall energy and kindness! Merari can dance and is great at getting others involved. :)

Will be back!
This resort is beautifully played out in the hillside of Papagayo area. Staff are amazing and service is excellent. The spa area provides a tranquil oasis while the main pool is fun and social. Yoga, water aerobics, and pool games every day.

40th Bday trip excellent choice
The relaxations and spa is amazing. Marvin in the spa does excellent deep tissue massages. VIP Derri’s top tier. I love it here. It’s a must come again.

Five Star Price, One Star Service
Upon arriving at the resort around 6 PM, we were surprised that no staff came to greet us. We began unloading our luggage ourselves while several valet attendants stood by without offering assistance or acknowledging our presence. The lack of hospitality from the outset was disheartening. It wasn’t until we asked for a trash can that a staff member directed us toward one—and only then seemed to realize he should offer help. At the concierge desk, I approached two staff members who remained fixated on their computer screens. Despite being the only guest there, I received no greeting or acknowledgment. When we entered our room, we were immediately hit with a strong smell of mold. Customer service advised us to open the balcony door, which worsened the smell and made the room uncomfortably warm. The restroom also had an unpleasant, lingering odor of sweat that seemed embedded in the space. The next day, we called for valet service and were told a van would pick us up. It never arrived, so we walked to the lobby ourselves. Upon arriving, our car still hadn’t been brought around. Only after we inquired did we see a staff member—who had been operating the guest shuttle—receive our key and begin retrieving our car. It became clear the resort is significantly understaffed. With over 200 rooms at full capacity, only three vans were available to transport guests across the sprawling property, and valet attendants were doubling as shuttle drivers. Given the resort’s high price point and its self-proclaimed five-star status, the overall experience was disappointing and fell well short of expectations
