Jan 12, 2025Just ok, had a relaxing time
Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya had it's good and bad. Nice quiet location if you don't plan to visit local town. If you plan to leave there are planned tours but they aren't cheap. Cost to go to local town, Playa del Carmen. Was $70 usd and hotel did not have a group or shared shuttle. Food, drinks and pool were hit or miss ...mostly good. Decor is minimalist and very very BLAH. Everything is white and no artwork. NOT my style at all. Would choose another location next time.

Beautiful, spacious, and clean resort. We loved the entertainment staff (Dulce, Sandra, Ana, Arturo, Yuni) for providing fun and engaging activities. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The sand on the beach is perfectly soft and fine. Rooms are gorgeous and classy. Never had any trouble getting dinner or lounge chairs for our group of 10 people. I would love to come back here again!

Being vegetarian was very difficult here, despite being assured ahead of time that is was "no problem". And although we were careful, we both still got sick, even though we did not eat the same things. For the amount spent, the hotel was mediocre and tired. Rooms were nice. We do not foresee ever going back.

Thus place is great
Julio Bautista was incredible! 10/10 Omar, Juan, Alfonso, and Alejandro and José were all also super great and made the trip an absolute blast, the service was incredible everyday and there was always something going on as well the concerts and shows were always a blast as well

Find Jullio
As many of the reviews point out this is a smaller resort and it was nice and peaceful. It's a quick trip into Playa Del Carmen and I would highly recommend spending some time if the resort. The resort had a nice beach and great service. Find Jullio and he will take care of you. We ended up scheduling some of our plans around his work schedule.
