It was my second time at Sandos. Once in Los Cabos e now in Cancun. I love the service of Sandos. They are super nice. Diego was the best concierge! All the team are very nice and eager to assist you. The room was clean and the food was good. The first I booked all my dinners and this helped a lot. I will come back for sure!
I’m the type to NEVER write reviews. I am one who ALWAYS goes on the hunt for reviews before booking though. So this place is a little run down. Definitely needs some new maintenance done within the hotel. However staff here is AMAZING! Always friendly, recognizes you, and are always working hard. Our room was decent, nothing to brag about however it did its job. The one complaint I do have and would warn people about is the food. Nothing to brag about at all. The buffets had minimal choices for food daily. Main sitting meals, I never had a good meal. You see rave reviews but if you pay attention to the staff mentioned its all the same. It’s because when the guests go to the Japanese steakhouse, they have them scan a QR code to leave a review. Food is cheap quality and does not taste well at all. We mentioned the food to the workers, and they mentioned they had to decrease food due to covid and they are hopeful food will be better again in March 😞😬. As far as location, it’s definitely a smaller resort. The resort is on a quieter street with a spa, and pharmacy across the street. For other souvenir shops you will have to catch the local bus for $1 per person and have them take you to the shops. There is nothing close. If you do wish to walk, they estimated the walk to be about 30 minutes. Point is, If you’re going looking for good food, this isn’t the place. But if you don’t care about the food, and want nice workers, relaxing pools, and drinks this may be something for you ONLY if its a steal. I’d say if it’s comparable to other hotels, book there.
I loved the service (our chef was Efrain) and he was very entertaining and professional. We also loved the food, especially the shrimp! Everything was great and we would definitely patronize this place again.
We Loved the food at Gaijin at sandos, in special the sushiman Ephraim and Alberto. Excelent !!!! The white Resort is wonderful. We love Maria, Alcelino, Mario and all the staff . Even the spa is unfforgettable
More than what I even expected
The entertainment crew knows how to do their job and does it well! Japanese restaurant and Italian are a couple of our favorites. Our room is fabulous with a great view. Everything is clean and well cared for. We really feel welcome and valued!
