    Amazing

The resort was beautiful!!! We had diamond club and I would definitely recommend! Edwin Berroa was an amazing help for any need! He made our trip very easy and memorable! I hope anyone that books gets him because he had us from day 1 to the end of the trip!

A disappointing stay, book with caution.

We stayed at the splash in April for one week as a family of 4 with a 3 and 7 year old. Overall my review is that this place is ok, bordering on not great. We wouldn’t come again and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. For context I’ve stayed in a number of all inclusive resorts across Europe, UAE and North America and my standards are not that high. I’m really surprised the other reviews are as high as they are. I’m really disappointed that we booked this via TUI. I expected better. Negatives: 1. Splash park is extremely run down. Stairs leading to rides are very rusty. It’s so so slippery, on one walk across the park my child fell 4 times. It’s ridiculous. The bathrooms there are also disgusting. 2. Lack of shade - hardly any parasol’s around huge huge swimming pools. I saw a lot of sunburnt kids. No shade unless you manage to nab a bed with a brolly at 7am. I counted 14 for approx 120+ loungers 3. Pool is missing so many tiles, these are really harsh on the feet. Pool also closed a few times. Once it was out all afternoon, no explanation. 4. Towels are old ripped and torn and covered in bleach stains. They also just hand out towels (vs a token return to get new ones) this sounds like a positive but it means people have no issues leaving towels on sun loungers all day without returning contributing to the lack of beds. 5. Not enough sun beds when it’s very busy. Means you’re stuck on the floor or at best just in an area in the blazing sun with one bed between 4 of you. 6. Not sure if it was because of Easter weekend but there were lots of locals on the weekend, getting very drunk around the pool, glass bottles around the pool etc, twerking competitions at the pool became a bit “18-30s” and heated with the locals. Not ideal in a kids pool. 7. Food. Unless you got food freshly cooked at one of the restaurants or at the stations the food was awful. Cold, dry, chewy. Things frequently ran out and weren’t replaced for the duration of the time we were in there. Limited selection, very repetitive. I and my son also got a very bad stomach and I suspect this is down to the staff using the same instruments on uncooked food and then serving cooked food with the same instruments 2 seconds later. A lot of cross contamination and poor hygiene. Tissues stuck in grills etc. 8. Service; slow, sometimes drinks never arrived, sometimes we didn’t even get water. Sometimes tables were cleared while you were getting dessert. The bookable restaurants were hard to book but hardly busy. 9. Hotel itself is quite run down, things falling off walls etc. One day we came back from breakfast to see the stairs (same slippery tiles as the water park) and floors soaked with water and soap suds. There are no lifts in the apartment buildings so this was a nightmare to navigate. Positives: 1. We found our room to be good, not run down. (We were in block 28) 2. Frequent shuttles to the other hotel or around the resort. 3. Close to the other hotel with access to the beach

Diamond club staff great, but hotel was disappointing

Diamond club was worth it our butler Edwin and pool waiter Jose were amazing and saved our holiday following several hotel mistakes. Food was great and varied, facilities were good but very run down we experience insufficient hotel communication from pre-arrival team, check in and guest services, very disappointing Not sure if we would return

    Great family trip!

Our family of eight just came back from a great trip at the Royalton Splash . Our two grandchildren are 11 and 13. We were in the Diamond club which I very strongly suggest that is the way to go. Sidney our butler was wonderful. He was attentive to all our needs and made our dinner reservations for us. He even arranged a birthday cake for our son. The rooms were great and close to the short walk to the Royalton Punta Cana where we spent a lot of time at the beach. We got cabanas for three of the days and that was great as a meeting place for the family. The meals at both the buffets and the restaurants were above average, not wonderful. But we were OK with that as we were not going there for the food. The grounds at both hotels were beautiful and very well manicured. It was nice to be able to go between two hotels and enjoy the variety. It was a beautiful place for a wonderful, relaxed, vacation.

    Great Family vacay

We were there week of April 14th. Beautiful resort with very clean rooms. Many pools and full water park with wave pool. You have access to all amenities of Royalton Punta Cana which is the resort on the beach . Good food at buffet and all restaurants. Amarlys our butler was the best !! She made sure we had everything we needed at all times! She would contact us every morning with dinner reservations and to see if we needed anything special. She even decorated our room for daughter’s bday. She went above and beyond !! We would definitely go back
