Not even close to 5 star on any level
I requested a low room near the lobby due to a lung condition I have, they put me on the highest floor and as far from the lobby as a standard room can be, oh and do not imagine for a moment this five star hotel will have someone show you to your room as you might expect, no after a long flight and significant time difference and a completely new resort to find your way around you will be left to find it yourself. This is the level of rubbish service you can expect for the rest of your stay. If you sit in the wrong part of the restaurant you can expect to wait 15 minutes or more before you get any drinks service, if you like a soft yolk in your poached egg it seems they do not have a chef trained in the technique for that. Anyway it's the third and by miles the worst Royalton I've stayed at, that's made certain I will never book one again despite the others being very good

Wonderful resort!
We loved our experience! Our personal butler Amarlys was so incredible at booking our meals and details about the resort. We had a lovely time relaxing. Very spacious resort with lots of places to get some sun in. Even as adults we enjoyed the water park a lot!

OMAR is the KING.
1st time we upgraded to Diamond. Well worth the extra dollars. Our butler OMAR took very good care of us. We did not have to waste time booking as OMAR took care of all of it. Please ask for OMAR when booking at the Royalton. You will not be disappointed.

We didn’t enjoy it , as we had the year before. They pay less money for the splash and are using the facilities,
My husband and I came last year and enjoyed it , went in and booked for this year January 15th, we were pleased that they upgraded us to the hideaway. but noise just followed us around. The cleaning staff were noisy and were told a few times, but still went on.there were a lot of kids having a circus and floater in the pool on two different days, when people are sitting down and reading and noise from the music which was always loud . I think some of the staff with food restaurants seem fed up and the food was cold and sent back a few time. Didn’t seem to care.we would not come again as it is our 3 rd time with a royalton very disappointed

Excellent girls' trip! Diamond Club is a must!
I recently returned from a stay at the Royalton Punta Cana, and here's my experience. Tipping Tipping is crucial at ANY resort. I witnessed many people not tipping, and it’s disappointing. The staff works incredibly hard, and it’s important to show appreciation for their efforts. ________________________________________ Hotel Grounds & Rooms • Grounds: The hotel grounds are clean and well-maintained. • Rooms: The rooms are nice and well-kept. Beds are comfortable. Some areas, particularly the bathrooms, could use minor updates, but overall, cleanliness was excellent (thank you to Edwin) ________________________________________ Diamond Club Beach • Beach Experience: The Diamond Club beach is amazing. You can usually find a space to lay out, but if you want prime real estate, it's recommended to get your chairs early in the morning, as the beach fills up quickly. • Service: Special mention to Gerico at the Diamond Club beach bar—his service was top-notch and very attentive. Diamond Club lounge also wonderful. Remember to tip! ________________________________________ Food & Cleanliness • Food Quality: The food was fantastic, and I was impressed with the quality and variety. There is something for everyone. • Cleanliness & Allergies: The hotel pays excellent attention to food cleanliness and allergens, which stood out compared to other resorts. • Sanitation Concern: I personally witnessed several children selecting food with their hands, such as cantaloupe, and putting it back, which is unsanitary. Parents, please keep an eye on your children and teach them to use utensils provided. This could contribute to people getting sick. It’s important to be mindful of hygiene to avoid these issues. ________________________________________ Restaurant Experiences • Zen Restaurant: The food at Zen was great, and the portions were big, fun experience. • Grazie Restaurant: The food at Grazie was underwhelming. It was just okay, nothing to write home about. • Hunter Steakhouse: The food at Hunter Steakhouse was outstanding. The steak and service were top-notch, making it a standout dining experience. ________________________________________ Butler Service • Antonio’s Service: If you stay here, ask for Antonio as your butler. His attention to detail is exceptional. He anticipated our needs, made reservations ahead of time, checked in on us daily, and ensured we had everything we needed. He’s a standout and should oversee the entire Butler department. ________________________________________ Atmosphere & Music • Music: The hotel caters mainly to a "gringo" market. While I understand that, I would have loved to hear more Latin music to enhance the Caribbean vibe. Hearing Journey repeatedly wasn’t the ideal soundtrack for the experience. ________________________________________ Overall Experience • Service: The overall service was outstanding, and the staff is incredibly hard-working. • Tipping Reminder: Please remember to tip. Most of the staff works long hours (12 days on, 3 days off), and tipping ensures excellent service and makes them feel appreciated.
