Hotel overview
Nestled on lively Kuhio Avenue, Romer House stands proudly amidst the bustling International Market Place and the renowned Marugame Udon. Our establishment is a tribute to the vibrant neighborhood, positioned at the heart of Waiki¯ki¯, mere steps away from the pristine beaches. As the sole adults-only hotel on O‘ahu, we offer guests an upscale retreat immersed in island culture yet distanced from the hustle and bustle. Each of our 179 hotel rooms pays homage to Waikiki’s Mid-Century apartment architecture, many featuring private lanais for a touch of serenity.
On the ground floor, our lively neighborhood izakaya beckons with a fusion of Japanese-Hawaiian cuisine, perfect for sharing during leisurely evenings of camaraderie. Meanwhile, the second floor Backyard pool club provides a relaxed and sociable atmosphere without the splash-zone distractions.

Had a great stay at the Romer house Waikiki
Had a great stay, fantastic staff. Booking in was easy. The refurbished rooms were very well done, the hotel looks good. The location is great for the international market, nice and central to get anywhere, especially for catching the bus, all bus services run along the main rd which is less than 2 minutes from hotel Thank you to all the staff

Definitely would stay again!
The room was as expected and they actually did give us an upgrade since we were there for our anniversary! This was amazing and we are grateful. But I am fair and honest when leaving reviews so there were a few things that really stuck out to me. Number one the bathroom showers have no shelves. So difficult to bring you soap and shampoo in to shower with no shelves. Number two the pool bar closes at 7 every night which is way too early. You have to go all the way to the front desk for ice so I wish there was an ice maker on each floor like most hotels. Lastly parking can be difficult but the valet really does help with this. Overall the restaurant was delicious, hotel was good and experience was definitely worth the price we paid! Just a few minor things.

Chill vibe
Zen hotel with chill vibe. Leslie was awesome at the bar, perfect old fashioned and the sushi looked AMAZING! Front desk was super welcoming, Jamie and Ariel made me feel at home and went the extra mile to show us to our room and provide exceptional hospitality. We will definitely be back!

GIRLS TRIP APPROVED! ✨
I travel to Oahu almost every other month... so I've stayed in a lot of different hotels within the Waikiki strip...Romer Waikiki takes the cake for the best hotel I've stayed at - BY FAR. The rooms are spacious, with tons of mirrors—aka, the ultimate setup when you’re traveling with a group of girls. The little toiletries they provide (like a hair comb and toothbrush) make such a difference, especially when you forget something small but crucial. Location-wise, it’s perfect—walking distance to all the main restaurants, stores, and beaches, and even key tourist spots like Manoa Falls. Also DO NOT stay here without trying the food downstairs.. it's phenomenal. But the real stand out was the staff. Everyone was beyond accommodating and genuinely so kind. Plus, they always have different deals going on, so if you love a good bargain (who doesn’t?), this is the place to book. 10/10, can’t wait to stay again!

Recent Visit, Very Good
Very nice place to stay, centrally located & easy to get around on foot. Staff was helpful & VERY friendly, especially Nani & Keala. Room was nice, housekeeping was good- some towels had light marks but were clean & soft. Only downside was Pool bar as hours & service was inconsistent, Pool was WAY too hot, more like jacuzzi then just heated. Overall, very good, will be back!
