    excellent visit

Front desk person upgraded room on arrival (no charge). I got a view of the river from the top floor. elevator was a tad slow. restaurant was excellent. VAlet parking was free on this trip. Although there was plenty of room in the parking lot.

    Birthday Trip for my clients

I am a travel agent, and I found this hotel in Napa for my clients who were there to celebrate a Birthday and Anniversary. They were shocked that the hotel was so much nicer than the pictures! They received the best service ever! I have to mention that the front desk supervisor, Jeannette Rodriquez, really enjoys what she does. I called to make special arrangements to have gifts waiting for my clients for their celebrations, and she was so patient, and she helped me decide on the best treats for them. Balloons, cupcakes, fruit baskets, and wine! It helps when you interact with someone who really have passion for what they do. I can tell you that she has a kind heart and I will always recommend this place for anyone traveling to the FAMOUS WINE CITY, NAPA VALLEY.

    Nice boutique hotel

Nice boutique hotel on the river. Great patio with view for meals and drinks. The walkway along the river's edge is great and a nice way to start or end your day. Rooms are nice & comfortable, especially if you get a river view with patio. Nice to be able to keep doors open at night and hear the birds in the morning. I would stay here again.

Hotel was in a good location however we had booked a double bed room and when we got there the front desk had told us they had given up our room for another party and they only had a king bed room with a pullout couch available so one of us had to sleep on that. It was a nice room although the bathroom is not very private & we found dried blood on the sheets. The front desk lady was nice and apologetic & offered us a bottle of wine & the daily fee waived. Overall though I don’t think I would stay there again, not worth the money.

    Destination Tax Scam

Just back from a very enjoyable trip to San Francisco. Decided to drive up to wine country and stayed in River Terrace, Napa. Very nice location and great accommodation. However, this was spoiled when checking out. The receptionist informed me of a charge, destination tax. $25 a night. As we had booked and paid for our trip previously, I was curious as to this extra charge. I was informed that it was for the use of some facilities while staying; internet, valet parking, free water?. When booking we were told internet, parking were included, and as for the free water we were given at check in, I'm bewildered. As well, I never saw anyone at the front door offering valet parking. The experience put a bad taste on an otherwise enjoyable stay. Felt as if I had just been mugged.
