DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
I found this hotel when it popped up on line while I was looking up info for the Napa Valley Wine Train in Napa last July. I am not at all familiar with Napa so I figured this hotel would be a good choice. KINDA Our room was clean and comfortable. The AC worked like a champ! Bottled water in our room was NOT free. $5.00 for small. $7.00 for large. Room was $964.86 for two nights, you'd think two small bottles of water would be free. Mostly just a nuisance. I was told by a living, breathing person when I made our reservations that while the hotel didn't serve dinner, they did serve "small bites" in the evenings. But no, they don't after the first of October. I just checked and the bit about small bites being served is still on their website info. While not being in the middle of nowhere, this hotel is not near any restaurants. Not the hotel's fault but it was a 104* outside and we just got out of a car after a 4 hour drive. We survived but I would NOT have chosen this hotel if I knew they were not serving food in the evenings. This same person told me to ask for a discount code for the Wine Train at the hotel at check in , which I did. The discount would be reflected on my hotel bill. GREAT. At first no one knew what I was referring to but after a little looking on their computers, they found the code. I gave the code to the lady who checked us in at the wine train the next day. However, at check out from the hotel, there was NO discount. First I was told it was because I hadn't asked for the discount. I had the code so I could prove that I had indeed asked! Then they said the discount was given at the train . NO it wasn't. The hotel actually sent me a print out with the discount listed from the wine train, but nothing but our name was on it. No credit card info. No nothing. We checked with our bank and no such refund from anybody was given. Meanwhile, our friends who checked in with us got the refund from the hotel at check out. GRRR. The discount was over $100.00 , which is not nothing in my book. We have emailed, telephoned and gone round and round and we GIVE UP! We travel a lot and the people we know travel a lot...I will never recommend this hotel to anyone because of this NON customer service. Turns out there is a lovely Westin Hotel WITH a full service restaurant AND a pool right next door to the River Terrace Inn. My advice is to stay there if you go. Our wine train experience was wonderful. You should go but stay somewhere else!!

Great hotel, excellent staff
Very nice hotel located on the river in Napa. Very welcoming staff and a lovely well appointed room. Quiet and comfortable rooms with a really comfortable bed ensuring a great night’s sleep. Only criticism is that the restaurant was not open for dinner and we had to go next door to the Westin for food (which was excellent) breakfast was really good quality and Dante, who served us, was welcoming, efficient and just a lovey man. The hotel is very lucky to have him as an employee

Very nice
My husband and I enjoyed our brief stay at the hotel for our Anniversary. Room was clean and the food at the Alba was tasty. We chose this property because we love to be in walking distance of Downtown Napa. I'm currently having an after visit issue with the hotel that I'm hoping can be resolved.

Delayed Honeymoon Stay
A very solid on the upper end of middle of the road hotel. The value for the cost here and its relative location to everything in Napa makes it a solid option. You are not in the middle of Napa but you are a short walk away. The renovated rooms are beautiful and if you are facing the river the view is amazing all day.

Average experience, great location
The hotel was nice enough for our stay. The bar food was great and so were the coffees, however, it is a bummer that they don’t open until 7 AM especially traveling from other time zones. There is a Keurig machine in the room, but those harbor bacteria and are not cleaned so I don’t use those. The room was really nice apart from really scratchy and uncomfortable bath towels, really expensive cans of water and the shower head was pretty weak. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The location is great and there are a lot of places to check out within walking distance. Overall, for the money, it was fine but I would definitely try a different place next time.
