Hope you don’t like sleep!
This resort is pretty and grounds are well maintained. BUT very “spring breakish”. There is no security walking around at night to maintain the craziness. Stayed 6 nights and every night 12, 1, 2 and 3 in the morning, loud crazy parting going on right outside of the rooms. Screaming, singing to loud music being played on portable speakers, talking very loud. The only way to get it to stop was by calling the front desk to send someone. It would take security 10-15 min to come. Mornings were loud as well. As early as 6:30am each morning, housekeeping was out in the halls and were not quiet either. Beds were not comfortable, but food choice were good. We stayed as a family and would not stay again.
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I would most definitely NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone!! This was my first trip to Mexico and a vacation getaway from crazy work life and a break from the kids. When we first arrived, the hotel looked promising and lobby was amazing! But as soon as we went to the front desk to check in, the staff there did the bare minimum with letting us know how much the charge was going to be and given the room keys as well as towel keys for the pool- NOTHING ELSE! No explanation on how the all inclusive works, HOW to get to our room or any additional information for a first time guest. Brushed that off hoping the rest of the stay would get better..NOPE! The lunch buffet by the pool was pretty bad. I tried to stay optimistic and hoped that it would get better. NOPE! We went to dinner at the Asian restaurant and man that food was so terrible we walked away after just sitting down with our food. We thought we’d give the Italian restaurant a try next, NOPE! JUST NOPE! We ended up leaving the hotel everyday during our stay to eat at better places downtown/marina area with better customer service. Sad to learn that even the drinks provided at the hotel is SUPER watered down! Such a waste of a vacation and most definitely will not be returning back to any RIU properties nor will be recommending to anyone even if I was paid to. Only positive side to the trip was the room with a view and different pools available for guests as well as the beach access.
This place used to be nice but not anymore
I feel bad because we know a lot of the workers and they are great people but this place has gone down hill. Some of the guest were out of control, chaotic, vulgar and disrespectful. Need I say more. I contacted the RIU regarding my previous stay and they gave me some standard statement and apology. I was hoping they would try to correct the situation I had so it wouldn't happen to others guest but they really didn't care. One more thing, The music at the pool(s) was ok until LA Lakers guy shows up and blasted his music over powering the hotels music. So loud and with two different genres of music blaring at the same time, it was out of control.
Great Family Vacation
This was our first time staying in Los Cabo. We loved this resort! I will always directly book through the resort. The free shuttle was easy going and coming. The resort is beautiful! You must try every restaurant! There are so many nice pools. Our favorite was the 2 large pools by Unit 2. Not crowded at all and fun for everyone! You have your own bar and restaurant right next to it! Our only complaint was the way the beds were set up. We had a family of 4 and we all had to sleep in one bed. We made it work. The cleaning staff were amazing and did a great job! We loved the entertainment staff! My youngest son loved Liviet. She remembered his name from day one! Please tip your staff! They work so hard! Thank you for a great family vacation! We look forward to another trip! The Ramos Family
On our last day here. The music at the pool(s) was ok until LA Lakers guy shows up and blasted his music over powering the hotels music. So loud and with two different genres of music blaring at the same time, just couldn’t handle it. Found out he’s here a lot because he knows the head of security and they let him in. Thank goodness he hasn’t been here the 2 days. I think it’s ok to have a DJ but dang, shut the other music off. Probably will not stay here again.
