Oct ‘21 Vacation
Oct7-16, ‘21. Weather was fabulous for all days except one that was stormy, but that made for an awesome day in the pool watching the surf. We were fortunate to get a room with the pool view at building 7. This is by far the best building in the resort, and the only one w an elevator. It also has a concierge there 9am-11pm who can do everything u want, from room changes to ordering Covid tests to ordering more stock for the bar fridge to checkout. Super fabulous and convenient service! The rooms were a bit dated, but very comfortable and kept very clean daily. Speaking of cleaning, I saw people cleaning everywhere all day long - in the buildings, at the pool at the bars. It was amazing. Many ppl complained of poor a/c, but ours was so good we needed blankets! The pools were also a bit weathered with many tiles missing, but kept very clean and each day workers tried to install new tiles. It was great never having to pre-reserve pool chairs which were super comfortable and always available. Food was ok, not great but not at all bad either. We didn’t have any meals we didn’t enjoy. It was nice that everything was open, except for the pacha’s nightclub and the foam party pool which I understand will reopen Oct 24 - they were prepping it up while we were there. The bars were well staffed w very friendly ppl who have u whatever drink u could think of. Having extra mobile drink and food carts at the pool Thursday’s thru saturdays was a treat! All in all, it was a great trip!!!
Worst experience ever
We are extremely disappointed with the pool facilities. On the weekend of oct 8-oct 11 We went to celebrate mi bday, we were 20+ people. On Monday oct 11 one of my friends, hotel guest, has a terrible accident in the water slides which led her going to ER and getting an emergency surgery I really hope these slides are taken care of so this doesn’t happened to anyone else Its sad that no one from the hotel followed up to see how she was. She had a really bad injury that lost a lot of blood. She was seen by the hotel Dr. I will never go back to this hotel specially if I know the facilities can put your life in danger,
Would not return
My toilet didn’t flush properly 2/4 days. They came to fix it once, it happened again on the day I checked out I called 3 hours before checkout and no one came to fix it. On my last morning I couldn’t shower before heading to airport because brown water was coming up from the bathtub drain. I didn’t want to stand in it. Also would avoid the liquor it is low quality and caused me to get sick like I haven’t been since my 20s. Stick to wine and beer here. Food was bland, the “steak house” served a gritty piece of meat. Would not return here. They also will charge you if u forget to bring your key/pool towel cards from room. This is not near a swimmable beach either which is the icing on the awful cake .
Great Weekend In Cabo
Amazing staff, views and experiences while here for 3 nights. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and all are great. The taco stand in the middle of the resort square open until 1 am is a real gem! Covid testing on site and the results were sent by email the same day, be sure to make the appointment at least a day before. Air conditioning in the rooms could have been colder even though we were barely in them.
RIU Santa Fe Cabo
Disappointed, it is a old resort that needs repairs. Hose for the shower head pinches closed when adjusting it to your height. A/C was out for 3 days. Elevator worked part of the time. We were in Villa 7. The door handle on the sliding glass door was about to fall off literally. 2 seconds with a screw driver would have fixed it. Can't believe housekeeping didn't report this or fix it themselves. Rooms were clean and resort was clean. Torote Restaurant has the same 3 entree options everyday. The salmon was very good though. The road leading to the resort property is terrible. The staff are friendly. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great either.
