My first time in Jamaica and we can't wait to return. There was no sign of seaweed and the water was calm and clear. We used local cabs for a couple of trips off the resort and always felt safe. Make sure to take a trip to Scotchie's for the best jerk chicken and Rose Hall for a legit haunted tour. We enjoyed people watching at some of the pool contests and shows, but mostly enjoyed the quieter, calm vibe at other pools. Delroy was our favorite bartender; don't forget to tip. Tips are not expected but greatly appreciated by employees. We enjoyed our excursion to Duns River but were surprised by the difficulty of the climb up the water fall. Highly recommend Margaritaville, food was great and the private beach next door, Doctor's Cave was beautiful. And cheap; about $7 admission, and same for a beach chair, umbrella etc. Food at the resort was good. We enjoyed the steakhouse most and didn't realize the dinner buffet was open every night until a couple nights before leaving. We loved the dinner buffet! Also, resort was extremely clean. Very nice air conditioning to the point that we requested extra blankets to stay cozy.

Noisy Americans.
Very noisy at night with guests coming in in the early hours of the morning with no consideration for other hotel users, lifeguards asking guests to get them food and alcohol even when on duty.The hotel,food and service was very good,

Birthday Trip👍
I rarely do the same resort twice,but this place is worth it.From the welcoming hospitality,the good food(usually resort food is just ok) the surprising birthday decor,entertainment and housekeeping was awesome. let’s not count out how close it is to the airport.The stafff was amazing,my favorite bartender (Winston) knows how to keep those Bob Marley’s coming. Seriously thinking of returning next year. Only complaint is the bed ,a little to hard for my likely,But that Oceanview was top notch. So Thank you Riu Reggae

Amazing Resort
The resort was very clean and maintained well. Great selection of food and the staff was exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10

The room and bathroom was very very clean. No hidden debris because I searched for that when entering room. The bed was a bit hard, but who's there to sleep all-day? The buffet food was good and food available 24 hrs. a day, which was a big plus! The special dining rooms (Italian/Asian, etc.) were a nice touch. Much of the buffet had a caribbean flair, which worked for me. However, there could be a few added varieties to the buffet. The entertainment was very good. I love the idea that Riu Reggae & Riu Montego allowed guest to visit both venues for entertainment. Additionally, guest could try out each of the "lunch" dining for both. That was a plus! The beach was absolutely stunning, beautiful and breathtaking! The pool and activities were great! Even though the weed sellers were nearby, they were not intrusive. In fact, they seem to be of great service to many. The staff - housekeeping - servers were absolutely the best! Always helpful with a smile. Would I visit Riu Reggae again? I absolutely would and no doubt, I will visit again!
