Great Staff
Great resort. I have stayed many places but the staff, food and beaches were second to none of them. Great affordability for top quality amenities!!!

Very good vacation!
Hotel was wonderful! Clean room with enough towels to take 2 showers a day. They also have turn downs. Stocked fridge with soda and water refilled daily. The beach was clean with clear, still water and no rocks. Worth the long ride from hotel. Fun entertainment shows. The dancers always were around and communicating with people. The food was very good. I liked all the vegetables they had daily. The steakhouse was delicious. Breakfast had hot milk to make your coffee stay hot. Freshly baked croissants. The vendors on the beach were friendly and not annoying. Because we came in July it must be not a busy month. We never had to get up early and get beach chairs. Everyday there were chairs available under palm trees and near pool. Basically the vacation was awesome and I have no complaints.

Great staff & chilled vibe ♥️
We returned a few days ago following 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Stocked fridge and optics, water & coffee machine. Iron & board. Umbrella, towels, toiletries & a nice walk in shower. We had two 3/4 beds and a bed settee, table and chairs, TV, hairdryer & balcony with furniture. We got a side sea view & block 3 was nice and central, near the gym and spa (we used neither!) & a couple of minutes to the beach, bar, pools and restaurants. 3 pools, loads of sun beds around them & on the beach. Plenty of space and shade if needed. Only went in the pool with swim up bar, staff were great & drinks flowed freely. Spent most mornings on the beach, the sea is clear and beautiful. We had rain about 10 afternoons, either a shower or a long storm into the evening. It didn’t spoil our holiday, the cocktails up in the lobby bar were fab, so we tried most of them!! The bars were generally staffed by pleasant and helpful folk. We mainly used the Daiquiri bar at night, Krystal is the best barmaid they have! If you want to see the shows get a table down by the stage well before they start or you won’t be able to see anything. The buffet restaurant is brilliant. Loads of choice at all mealtimes. We tried the steakhouse & Italian, both were lovely. We did tip staff but it’s not expected by most of them & service was good regardless. There are sellers on the beach with all sorts of tat & various drugs, if that’s your thing. We had singers and guitar players and all sorts. Enjoyed the banter and chats with them & those working in the blue huts down towards Riu Negril. Entertainment team did the usual stuff but we didn’t get involved, they said good morning to us but that was about it. Would definitely recommend this hotel, loved it!!

2nd visit much the same...just
This was sour second visit to the Riu Palace tropical bay last time 2023. Checkin was fine however there was a separate area for Riu Class members which we are but sadly it was unmanned both on arrival and checkout. Rooms and public areas spotless and constantly being cleaned. One could not wish for anymore. The Gardeners are definitely untipped heros constantly maintaining the gardens and beach. Here goes the food Buffet plenty to choose from but after 2 weeks it was a bit repetitive oh and I wish they would do baked beans at breakfast and proper sausages rather than hot dogs. Wonderful salad display at lunch but nothing to go with it like cold meats. Salmon prawns etc. Italian restaurant average Japanese awful inedible pork tenderloin and over cooked noodles. Steak house excellent we went twice and our steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. Krystal absolutely fabulous. The first time. 2nd visit to Krystal was a nightmare I sent a steak back twice. Asked for medium rare. It was delivered raw like steak tar tar. We walked out. I spoke with the Head Chef the following morning and he was fully aware of the matter. I have to say at meals the Wine was not flowing as much as it used to. Also appears smaller measures in the cocktails at the bars. If you want a stiff drink use the optics in your room. Entertainment. OH Dear. It felt like the same band most days. Called Rimshot. They were ok but not so often. The entertainment repeats every week. Good points are the steel from band and the aqaishow. The rest is the entertainment team dancing or lipsyncing to Michael Jackson. Oh and one night a week then entertainment is at a sister hotel so if youre not bothered going you are more or less on your own. There are three pools, the swim up bar which is loud and the entertainment team holds quizzes and fun activities the problem is that the compare has the PA at max and shouts into the mike. So whilst the relax pool is a short distance away is anything but relaxed Sun loungers on the beach in desperate need of jet washing. I must make me tion of two members of staff who really made us feel at home and we're really nice ladies. On the beach Judith In the Buffet Jamelia and Kristan.

Wonderful stay at RIU Palace Tropical Bay, Negril, Jamaica
Wonderful Stay at Riu Palace Tropical Bay – Highly Recommended! My wife and I had a fantastic experience at Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril, Jamaica. The resort exceeded my expectations in many ways. The food and drinks were excellent, offering a great variety and quality throughout the stay. Our room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained, contributing to a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The sea was one of the highlights—crystal-clear water with a clean, sandy bottom that made swimming truly enjoyable. The beach is beautiful, although it could benefit from more shaded areas and a wider sandy section. In some parts, especially closer to the water, the surface was more like firm, compacted soil rather than soft sand. The gym was adequate but could be improved by including a wider range of exercise equipment for different workout needs. Overall, this resort is a great choice for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. I would definitely recommend Riu Palace Tropical Bay to others and look forward to returning in the future.
