We had a 2 week holiday in September with our two young adult children, we considered so many different hotels but all feel we made the right choice with booking RPTB! Excellent food with a good choice, clean, spacious rooms, lovely well maintained grounds and obviously an outstanding beach, but the stand out at this hotel for us were the brilliant staff, who really do give the place a heart. The entertainment crew work enthusiastically to ensure guests have a good time, the reception staff are so courteous & helpful, and most of the bar & restaurant staff are warm & obliging. Amongst all these are some great characters who build rapport with guests & you can see there are clearly plenty of repeat visitors for that reason. We went on some fantastic snorkelling excursions courtesy of the fabulous Scuba Caribe crew & ventured out to Ivan’s, Ricks & Margaritaville. Really enjoyed nightly cocktails at the tropical plaza bar before dinner & also liked Daiquiri for the pianist & if we wanted somewhere cool. A few personal touches were nice - the fresh coconuts & fruit trolley service by the pool & speciality cocktail stations outside the restaurants. Cons - I think the hotel could be improved by extending & renovating the 24 hour restaurant area into a sports bar with pool tables & TV screens. I would also change the layout of the main buffet restaurant & add partitions/booths & background music. Whilst the food is excellent, the room is huge & does feel abit canteeny, it needs to feel more like a restaurant. Specialty restaurants were mixed, we had no problem with booking, our favourite was probably the Italian. Whilst it’s good to see the hotel is very keen on getting customer feedback, I think they need to consider the method & timing - being handed a clipboard & questionnaire at the table at the end of every meal takes the magic away somewhat! There is a coffee bar in Daiquiri but it doesn’t open until 10am which seems a waste of somewhere ideal for people to have their morning coffees. A couple of the staff were rude & abrupt but they really were in the minority. Overall a very good to excellent hotel in a beautiful location - would recommend!

Great Hotel and Service
This hotel was fantastic the staff did everything in their power to take care of us 100% without question anything we needed they saw to our needs the only problem that I had with them is there restaurants out of the five nights we stayed we only ate in one restaurant except for the buffet the other days it should be easier to get a reservation or no reservation at all to eat at the restaurants they have five restaurants I don't understand why they're always booked and they can't have somebody just walk in and eat it seems ridiculous to me you should pay more attention to the guest eating in the restaurants has nothing to do with the staff the staff was excellent It's just getting in the restaurant was almost impossible we only ate one restaurant the whole time we were there except for the buffet

It was my best Riu trip ever. I spent 10 days this time for my daughter’s 32nd birthday. The beach was beautiful and amazing! Food was also with a variety of dishes and choices beautifully presented. The room was clean and well appointed every day. The drinks were excellent each one as good as the last with champagne flowing easily. The grounds were well kept and beautiful but could be improved upon in the future .

Fabulous
Stayed at Rui Palce, The complex was very clean as was the rooms. The beach was amazing and kept to a very high standard even with the unsettled weather at the beginning. The staff were always smiling and very helpful. The only downside was the speciality restaurants, firstly had trouble making reservations via the app, also the chefs need to taste their from as it lacked seasoning. The buffet restaurant was very good and there was always a lot of choice. Overall it was a fantastic break
