I absolutely love this place, it’s cool, relaxing, and the service is great. When I first got here, I was so excited and wanted to have a lovely vacation here. I also am happy about how the food here is included, and it tastes great. Even the pool is nice, and they have great water activities so everyone can get involved. You will also be entertained by the great shows they have every night. Plus, the inside of the hotel is absolutely incredible, and so are the hotel rooms. If you’re looking for somewhere great to have a vacation, Riu Palace Rivera Maya is definitely the place.

Amazing stay!
We absolutely loved this hotel — everything was fantastic! The service, food, and amenities exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights was the ability to visit and enjoy the other hotels in the same resort line; there are five within walking distance, which gave us so many options to explore without ever leaving the area. The only downside was the sargazo (seaweed) on the beach, which was a bit of a bummer, but we understand it’s a natural occurrence and not the hotel’s fault. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing. They are the heart of the hotel. We stayed last year and although the hotel is still good, we have noticed changes. The buffet restaurant is amazing and we enjoyed Krystal. However, the other restaurants were mediocre. it was noticeable that there weren't so many staff around at meal times, especially lunch, so plates weren't getting cleared and that meant flies and birds. Generally there seemed fewer staff in the hotel. The staff at breakfast were especially brilliant. The drinks were okay a good selection of cocktails and they would do whatever you asked for . However it seemed to us that the drinks were watered down. The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. The beach was really out of bounds due to the sargassum and it was a full-time job trying to clear it. It didn't spoil our holiday. Overall, we had a very good time and I would recommend the hotel, but the changes we noticed have indicated a decline.

One pod my favorite places to stay!
This is one of my most favorite places to stay. I have been as a couple and for girls trips and I am never disappointed! I appreciate the great care they take to ensure the property and guests are well taken care of. Thank you Lupita for your great care at Guest Services!
